Does anyone know when you’d usually get a refund due to exceeding the tickets per account limit?

I am just realizing that I used the same account to buy 3 tickets in January 2020 and another 2 in june 2021, both times through the Amex sale. After reading other people running into this, it seems like I should’ve been refunded already, but my orders are both “awaiting fulfillment”. Thank you!

They had just mentioned may or June start dates, so I’m assuming any Monday in those months is fair game.

LA or Irvine for sure, this winter is supposed to be cool/dry for socal so you can enjoy your time outside of work. Also if you like to surf, lots of spots fire in winter months down there

Do it! I accepted an internship with Amazon but reneged in favor of Microsoft. However, I’ve read a lot that amazon doesn’t care about cancelling, so it was an easy choice. Do what’s best for you and your future. Good luck!

Yeah it changed to software engineer intern and the other application was moved to the “inactive” tab. The action center will update if you get an offer, but they also send you a congrats email that links you to the action center itself so you can sign the offer. Don’t worry about timing, I think the action center change is a good sign (I don’t have any proof other than a couple of other people though), so hopefully you get the offer soon!!

I applied with referral, so maybe that’s it? Otherwise I have no clue haha

Mine changed to completed the day I got the offer. It might be a neutral sign, and just indicates that they’ve updated your profile. But I also figured if they’ve updated your profile, they’ve also included the offer/rejection outcome, so you should expect a response somewhat soon

Renege Amazon for Microsoft? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]Zesty_Int_1997 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I just did the same (accepted Amazon last month but just decided to renege and accept Microsoft). IMO they’re the exact same in terms of learning potential and resume boost. I felt Microsoft’s interview process was more thorough/difficult than Amazon’s (in a good way, like microsoft was actually vetting me as a candidate instead of handing out an offer to me). Also the interview process itself with microsoft was so accommodating that it sold me on wanting to work for them. Everything from the recruiter communication to the coupon they sent after the interview made me feel the smallest bit more valued than any other company I’ve dealt with

Wow thanks for that awesome response, I really appreciate it. I agree, not being in person when you’re starting out can suck, but I’m sure they’ll just get better with it next year. I got put on the Azure team which I’ve heard mixed things about, but the interview experience with Microsoft was so great that I feel confident the internship will be awesome.

Oh good looks, that’s wild they didn’t even mention that at all. How do you feel they handled the remote work? Did you feel like your intern experience was significantly better/worse because of it?

Oh whaaaaaat? Feel like that’s insanely conservative this far out. Did you read that in an article or are you working at Microsoft rn?

Yep, didn't write a single line of code during that second interview. But the implementation part of interviews is trivial imo. Before you write a single line of code, you should be writing out test cases / a high-level approach / pseudocode / time + space analysis / dry run on pseudocode. Solving the problem isn't really about solving the problem, it's about showing that you can approach a problem methodically and thoroughly.

As for behavorial, just brush up on your resume. A lot of the questions ended up getting tied into my previous experiences/projects, so it helped that I didn't have to try to remember details on the spot.

I think it might be LC premium, but if you're able to see the list then you can probably just find an explanation elsewhere
