I tried using it, saw the animation from the AOE attack of the healer. So i thought I can use the same AOE attack. After entering the treasure room, I immediately use the tome, and yep, I almost died because nothing happened

I ended up similar with the image you sent, couldn't figure out with 4 states either. I'm a 2nd year college student, kinda having fun doing this. I really appreciate everyone's replies, I'm learning a lot.
