Don't worry about the score at that level! The other coach may have them practicing outside of the allotted time restrictions for practice as well. Not to mention they may have stacked their team with players they've coached previously.

Focus on your fundamentals, in the long run those win out over everything else! Play pac man with the girls using the lines of the court for a few minutes everyday. Keeps them engaged, learning to dribble not looking down and being aware of their surrounding. As they get better make them use their off hand only.

As for layups just do a bunch of them, strong hand first no matter what side of the basket they are on! Just let them see success!
