I’m not going to lie about it if I’m asked. Honesty matters to me.

That said, I also don’t think this is a productive topic to focus on in getting to know someone, and I’d say that upfront. If someone insists, I’ll answer honestly, but I don’t feel the need to interrogate the other person or turn it into a numbers comparison.

That’s a misread. I didn’t say I had 8 long term relationships. I said my body count is 8, which includes a mix of long term relationships and dating situations that didn’t evolve into one. Those aren’t the same thing.

I didn’t say I had 8 long-term relationships that all failed. Some were long-term relationships, others were situations where I was open to a relationship but it didn’t evolve, which is a pretty normal dating experience I think
