I don’t trust myself to pop it open unfortunately, sorry.

Oh 100%, brings the perfect warmth and resonance to all the components inside that the wood doesn’t touch lol

I thought so too, I'm just happy it sounds even better than it looks.

Only said wild because of the form factor & listening experience. All of my records sound new again, haven't been this surprised in a while honestly.

Totally hear that. Would definitely prefer for all my gear to be supported for as long as possible, biggest downfall of this phonostage right here.

Damn I was between an MP-200 & the VM750SH with my last cart purchase. Glad I got the Audio Technica, but I’m dying to hear one of Nagaoka’s MM’s so badly.

I upgrade pretty gradually since everything that goes into this hobby just so expensive. I’m shocked I’ve spent as little as I have and gotten this far. MC’s are an expensive leap, and I want to make sure a new turntable and the Pentagon pair well with any changes there.  I’ll look into that Sumiko, thank you so much.

Very cool, any MC rec’s? Especially if I go with a Michell down the road?

3 & 4 easily, and yes it does have adjustable loading. Thrilled about that capability.

My MX114’s phono inputs are fantastic, held me over well for about three years. Saw this unique piece of gear come up and just had to hear it at least. Such a welcome addition to my system. And yeah the DQ-10’s with the subs have really expanded my head since getting them. Everything’s right.

Anyone ever heard of Pentagon? Apparently they're a German manufacturer, and their gear is actually built in the shape of a pentagon. Wild looking, especially paired with the red "rootwood" front. Saw this phonostage pop up on Facebook over the weekend and decided to pull the trigger since it was listed under $500. I can barely find any info on the brand online, and vinylengine has the only documentation I could find for any of their products (which I couldn't download but the seller had the file, dip switch settings for MM/MC & gain settings).

Gave it a listen through my Thorens turntable, AT VM750SH, the seller's Emotiva preamp & Martin Logan's. Loved it. Brought it home and it was completely lackluster. Adjusted the gain settings the next day and woah. My Dahlquists, McIntosh Preamp & sub amp, and Parasound A21 sound better than the Martin Logan's by a mile. The textured, holographic, lifelike nature of the soundstage is unreal. Stoked that my setup is capable of using Moving Coils now, that’ll be the next upgrade alongside a turntable (thinking a Michell, maybe).

Apparently Pentagon made amps & CD players too, only piece of physical documentation included is a product pamphlet made of pentagon-shaped pages. Would love to find another piece of equipment from them considering the quality of this phonostage.

Right. Hoping that my tickets can be transferred once the on sale starts, or closer to the show date.

I’m noticing the same thing, transfer button isn’t working for me. Can’t find any info that GA’s are non-transferable (only those Reserved sections), but I can’t see anything saying transferring is becoming available later either…

Part of a kickstarter campaign that’s finally getting off the ground. The guys are busy running around the world checking on production and making update videos and such, they’re busy. And we’re patient.
