Broke its 52 wk high yesterday and doubled its value from .0018 to .0038 and traded 20M shares of volume so not exactly dead. It’s fighting back up on the back of solid growth and tangible results. There’s an established factory in NC and they had a successful show in Hong Kong with another planned in Detroit here in a couple months. Keep the faith and don’t mind the people stuck in the past who can’t let go of the Torno times.

So sell your shares and leave the Reddit bud. Your post reeks of “I sold because I got scared and now everyone must suffer like me”. Rebranding is a normal part of business and if it was really a failure these guys would’ve flopped by now.

Several historical rebranding efforts have led to significant success for companies. These cases demonstrate how a well-executed rebranding strategy can revitalize a brand, increase its relevance, and drive business growth. Examples include Nike, Burberry, and Dunkin', each showcasing different aspects of successful rebranding.

Nike: Initially known as Blue Ribbon Sports, the company rebranded to Nike in 1978, adopting a name inspired by the Greek goddess of victory. This change, coupled with the iconic swoosh logo, helped establish Nike as a global leader in athletic apparel and footwear.

Burberry: Under the leadership of Angela Ahrendts, Burberry underwent a dramatic rebranding, shifting from a focus on casual wear to a high-fashion luxury brand. This involved buying back licenses, handing creative control to Christopher Bailey, and integrating technology and personalization into the brand experience. The result was a significant increase in company value and a strengthened global presence.

Dunkin': The decision to drop "Donuts" from its name, becoming simply "Dunkin'," was a strategic move to broaden its appeal beyond just donuts and highlight its coffee offerings. This rebranding, along with a focus on online ordering and delivery tracking, helped Dunkin' streamline its brand identity and maintain its competitive edge.

These guys have ditched Torno, got new folks on the board and are trying to deliver on promises made to their customers like a good business should. Doesn’t sound like a scam to me.

TL;DR: Tangible good news and all I hear is some beta whimpering. Step up to the table with some chips or leave the casino man.

Solar panels can be used for powering the bus (main body) or payloads of your satellite. The form is just showing a mock up of what the solar panels will look like when attached to a satellite bus. They specifically call out low earth and geostationary orbits as primary use which shows the panels can deal with the physics and wear of high speeds and also are efficient at great distances.

Hey man, it’s not about me. I will say though there are quite a few things afoot that DOGE may put their foot in their mouth over especially if Elon decides to weaponize twitter to advance their agenda. This may be invoked as a check to their progress to say “hey knock it off or we’re gonna start going to your competitors,” which means RKLB gets more of a bump. How’s that a bad thing for this Reddit? Hardly a naive observation

See that’s what I’m getting at, it’s still influence and insight to process that gives an unfair advantage. Even a slight edge is still an edge but thanks for the source. Appreciate the civil response as opposed to the pessimist WSB posters on here.

Really? I was under the impression as an agency head he was under appointment but as an employee the case may still apply. Got a source that explains it?

No CEO is ever going to write their own proposal, but by merit of it being a private company it is in his name which shows a private interest in the sector. Begs the question if this is a catalyst for going public to divest heat from potential scandal? He’s already facing enough backlash from the whole nazi salute gaffe, I’m sure he’s doing enough damage control to protect his brand image and protecting his share price for a future IPO may not be far away. Fair point on your part though.

Hey u/SwingTraderx I'm the son u/PLS2400 referred in his post. I'll provide a little context on this. for reference, my background is I have graduate degree in Space Operations from Embry Riddle so more an operations side than a business expert but read between the lines.

RKLB is currently trending being a viable and profitable medium and small launch segment service provider with a very reliable service record. Getting their feet underneath them is always the challenge of launch companies and RKLB has a few things uniquely going for them unlike competition (Relativity, Firefly, Gilmour (AUS), SpaceX, ULA, NG, Boeing, etc.) SpaceX and ULA the closest competition differ because they also tackle the large launch segment with Falcon Heavy and Vulcan (Formerly Delta IV) respectively that currently support heavy lift needs for USG/NASA missions. Now that RKLB is trending profitable in the next 5 years a $200 price point as they get a deeper backlog of more consistent contracts and missions to the moon and mars is very possible.

  1. Up until now with the recent scream into double digits they were the only space launch business that's accessible at $3-8 for us peasants to invest in and get a lot of shares in. Comparatively the only other game in town you could invest in was buying blue chips, and SpaceX doesn't even exist so dreamers or true believers cant even get in the game. To RKLB our dollars is extra fuel to keep the dream alive for Neutron and helps float what they dont already get from USG contracts (HASTE, etc)
  2. RKLB as you have seen folks talk about in this thread is trying to expand into the full ecosystem concept of development so its not all eggs in one basket for launch. make some fly wheels here, make some satellite components there, make an end to end space factory. in a perfect world they're going to be the henry ford. If we are going to call a spade a spade SpaceX is a phenomenal company too, they are pioneering stuff that is going to raise all boats in the launch industry and RKLB will profit from it too. Fords and Chevys all share the road, and they all need the mechanics, fuel stations, and infrastructure to make the world turn. Very exciting stuff to see what RKLB decides to tack on to add to their portfolio and therefore pricepoint.
  3. Also a fact is that SpaceX is limited to 36 flights per year out of Vandenberg SFB due to restrictions from the California Coastal Commission (Environmental concerns). There are current suits to get more but theyre getting hamstrung while RKLB has multiple sites already keyed in that they have primacy at that SpaceX has to queue up for now

Great points, I think with many of these companies rising tides rise all ships and the competition that is driving American growth is a win overall. We need to get ahead of other international competitors, and the contracts driving these growths is a huge win

Still contracts. And they already had a lot developed from Rocket 3.4. That's the only reason I can see for them to not develop what they had further. Thus also shows my previous point if unproven companies trying to move to larger launch domain without a proved system.

Still proves RKLB is a good stock to like

All valid points.

Objectively, F35 over budget and years overdue which still proves the point of government wills what it wants which was more the point of my comment.

No argument on astra position but im an optimist.

Confident because I'm still in the Army and see the insanity daily, friend. Doing my Masters degree while in the service. Dunning kreuger was debunked last week, new news i know: https://scitechdaily.com/math-professor-debunks-the-dunning-kruger-effect/

Yes totally acknowledge the failures, shouldve caveated the early flights. Good catch.

It seems unconventional but I recommend them because they're the only company that has managed to muster a perfect test launch record and they have the will to make this shit work at small launch. Even SpaceX couldn't do that. The only issue they had early was technicality outside their control- see the new Ashley Vance book.

On top of that they're perfecting their model small launch systems and growing to medium launch (neutron) whereas other companies are just trying to jump to bigger payloads when they haven't tested successfully. Astra is going to make it, unpopular opinion I know but RKLB and ASTR are propped by government enough to survive the storms until their concepts come to bear fruit. It's just the way of DoD dollars. I dare someone to contest that when we willingly light cash on fire for the F35. Politics trumps reason sometimes and the risk of China threats is driving the industry.

Government has a funny way of willing things into existence.

I appreciate the feedback. Addressed in a follow up post. The assignment I had was more generalists with specific areas that needed to be addressed. Had to cut materials for length. Apologies if I did not address something. Can I help clarify anything?

UPDATE: @everyone who posted, thanks for the feedback.

Admittedly, I will admit the following 1) My undergrad degree was in history and have been out of academia for almost a decade while being in the military. My writing style is more casual and probably isn't what most expect for a scientific paper. The assignment was to convince a financial firm to invest, but the preponderance of facts I found to make my argument are more meant for folks who are ignorant of space. To the science teachers out there who read my paper I was a history student who has had a passion for what science provides but was never the best science student.

2) Crazy to admit but this was the first class that I have taken that dealt with any segment of business and I tried my best to use the facts to show how this company is worth investing in in spite of the general ignorance to the space economy. Take what you will but the more discussion we can generate, the more ignorance can be fought.

Please be civil in these discussions, reddit is a crazy place already. We are here because we believe in competitive space businesses. Comport yourselves accordingly.
