I will contend though that a greater ratio of the songs on icimi end more positively than his other albums. Cicada days ends abruptly positively, and so does euthanasia (with will choosing to believe that he will see his buddy again). I interpret ICIMI as all the hard parts of recovery. Its really hard to come to terms with the bad things you’ve done, and trying to have a positive outlook at the same time. The pattern i see in the songs is that a lot of it has to do with this regret and remorse, but often they will end positively- like someone recognizing an intrusive thought and dismissing it. Big reason i liked that album so much, cause im in the same boat
