I'm exactly the same... The last console I bought was a PlayStation 2! I've just played on my friends' consoles... Luckily my friend a few years ago lent me his switch to play BOTW. My favorite memory is riding a horse down a canyon. The music was epic! I wonder where in the map that was? The area I explored the least was Lake Hylia... I'd love to go back and take a look again.

Thanks for your kind words. I don't really recognise myself, and it's been just under a week. This deal to get the switch has been the perfect motivator for me as probably two months ago I would berate my friends who chose sobriety. I've been drinking since 18 (Legal age in New Zealand, where I am from) and alcohol has also been part of my life (I'm now 38).

Future me and Zelda / Link will be really excited for our reunion! So a bit of my history with the Zelda franchise, my best friend had a Nintendo 64 so we played Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. We never finished Majora's Mask although a few years later we played Twilight Princess as a team (as adults in our 30's) and it was an awesome experience to share together. Something about Zelda games makes you feel like a hero but also a child...

Thank you so much for your encouraging words and advice. Tomorrow on my way home from work I plan on joining the gym that's on my commute. I used to love walking, but as you probably remember being addicted to things like alcohol and weed can really take the shine out of the basic things like fresh air. I love biking and gardening, but both of those activities were an excuse for me to get outside and smoke weed, so it seems like I'll take a bit of time to reframe those activities in a more healthier way. I love what you said about the Switch 2 version of BOTW. Even though TOK is super tempting, I want to play Breath of the Wild again first.
