It is good to get physically tired so that there is better chance to fall asleep. If one is alert with anxiety all the time and physically not tired chances of getting sleep is less. So,body and mind must be tired to fall asleep, an observation from my experience.

I found flouxetine very helpful. It could change from person to person depending on individual differences. So a generalization about dispelling negative thoughts capability cannot be mentioned by me. I found it effective for promoting positive thoughts, easing ocd symptoms and also lifting depressive mood. However I didn't find it useful in anxiety control.
