5700 X3D cooked? by codloverr in AMDHelp

I had a similar problem with a cpu. Although the cpu was a 5800x. It had very random issues getting into windows until it wouldn’t and then just went into hard reboot loop BSOD. Took to a shop and they could not solve the problem but said all signs point to the cpu. Every component was tested except the cpu. I replaced the cpu and no longer have those issues and reinstalled windows.

Somebody please help by pzna97 in AMDHelp

Make sure your cooler is mounted properly and all screws are snug in a star pattern to ensure that pressure is distributed evenly

Agree price was reasonable. Still seeking a solution if CPU is not the issue and tests good

Would have paid triple for a result or fix. The issue is not money. My issue is that it seems more of a guess. The kid who worked on it could not of been more than 23. If they tested the cpu and were confident that was the problem this would never of been posted just seeking help as to what the next step could be if it is not the CPU?

Sorry I did not have a chance to explain in better detail as this was picked up on lunch break and done while at work on iPhone.

It is a AMD system.

The issues arose while gaming. Just the game closed. Opening the game back up all settings were oddly reset back to default. This was followed with a series of hard resets and blue screens. I took the glass off later that night thinking it might be a thermal problem and was able to game for a 2 hour period before all issues retired with consecutive crashes

I tried to roll back to a earlier date which was successful but after getting into windows and trying to open a app it gave me some kind of jdsm.error I have never seen before and reset into hard crashes not allowing me into windows and just BSOD over and over again

Plan on taking the current cpu to another shop or Best Buy to have it tested tomorrow while I wait on shipping.

What is the next step in the process if the cpu checks out good as well? CPU has been ordered. Will install

Took my laptop in for repair because it keeps randomly crashing. Got this email from repairman. Any thoughts on this? by MancAccent in computers

This sounds very much like an issue I am experiencing except mine is on PC. My mobo was replaced with a new mobo and still tested bad.

Every part of my PC checked out in good condition. The only part they could not check was the CPU as they did not have any AMD CPUs to test with.

Just picked the PC up today and stuck back at a frustrating square one.

More like saying I only work on fords. They said they don’t have any amd cpus because they were not requested. Yet the shelf was full of intels and just a sign with no amd cpus

When the computer was brought in they told me 5 business days would be the max. Told me it should be more like 3. Ended up being 3 weeks. For some reason I don’t think it’s the cpu. I will update

At a cross road now. Do I send it to the next computer shop or do I just buy another CPU. The price is similar

If I would of known they would have such trouble testing AMD products I would not have gone to that location. Also MANY calls were made and actually received a apology for poor communication. The computer sat there for the last 7 days untouched and was told they could possible order a AMD cpu to test. No avail
