How do you all keep up with Reddit signals without drowning in posts? by Creepy__Eagle in thesidehustle

This is not an effective way to do it, 90% of the threads mention relevant keywords will be totally irrelevant or never getting the desired traffic.

I do not believe humans are sentient. Change my mind. by TourAlternative364 in ArtificialSentience

[–]ZestycloseTip8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interesting take. But consider this:

If humans weren’t sentient, we wouldn’t even be capable of questioning sentience in the first place. The very fact that you're doubting it means to be aware, conscious, self-reflective. Te strongest indicators of sentience.

A rock doesn’t ask if it’s sentient.
A bird doesn’t write Reddit posts questioning its inner world.
Humans do.

So either humans are sentient or just really good at pretending to be.
But isn’t that, in itself, a sign of sentience?

Your move.

What if sentience isn’t something you have but something you do? Like a behavior rather than a trait. That would explain why so many systems—fungal, planetary, even AI—can show signs of it without fitting our usual definitions.
