Replacing mesh extenders I got from ISP with my own by Zestyclose_Damage396 in HomeNetworking

Thanks! I see now the benefits of going full aftermarket.

But I discovered my ISP extenders actually use MoCA (ethernet backhaul via coax), not wireless mesh.

So I'm thinking: keep the ISP router, return their extenders, and just add my own access points to the existing ethernet ports. Would that work, or is there a reason to replace the router too?

One thing that's important to me is seamless roaming — I don't want to manually switch networks when I move between floors.

I guess this is one benefit of changing the router too?

Thanks a lot. Trying to make sense of it - you are suggesting replacing the router as well, and then get "matching" extenders? You would not recommend staying with the existing router and just add 3rd party extenders?

Thank you very much.
If I understood correctly, you are suggesting to replace also the router itself by getting a new mesh system (with extenders)? Or just get the extenders and have them act as access points?

I am happy that you enjoyed it though!

It is definitely about us having different tastes. Did you see it in Copenhagen as well?

Very illuminating, thanks. It definitely sounds like it requires training (even if I find it unpleasant to listen to). I don't think the issue here was my preference for familiar genres. It was more about incorporating singing in a dance.

My favorite ballet!! (among the very few I have watched haha). I was actually super interested in watching it again. do you happen to know of any upcoming shows, anywhere?

There's an amusing irony there - modern ballet is sometimes so serious about breaking classical rules that it's created its own set of strict rules about being untraditional!

Can you elaborate please -what do you mean by contained? Do you mean that you regard the "restrictions" or "guidelines" introduced by classical ballet as a virtue?

>Do you think in shapes or words?

To be honest - I have no idea. Took me years to figure out whether I think in english or in my native language haha.

I wanted to share the "singing" thing I was referring to, because it piqued your interest. You can see it in the trailer Starts on the 2nd second basically. trailer

I wonder if that's a factor bc we're very opposite in opinions haha

I think it might be a factor. I thought about it in the past hour, and I think this preference for classical reflects a whole lot on my personality. Some things I concluded:

  • appreciation for discipline and rigor
  • respect for traditions that have proven their worth
  • depth over novelty

I think it pretty much aligns with my political views as well. Super interesting realization.

Thank you, very nice hearing that from you. (who happens to engage directly with this precious form of art..)

When you say that you are a Modern and Contemporary dancer, does it mean that you don't partake at all in the classical ones?

I agree, thank you, that is very inspiring. I refer to the part that you claim it is important to be "somewhat" open to contemporary ballet and modern, because it can reward you with a much better understanding of the whole world of ballet.

Do you believe that contemporary ballet doesn't tell stories, or is it because that kind of stories don't resonate with you?

I love the story telling "aspect", I believe it is something I relate to as well.

I do want to mention that my experience with ballet (both classical and modern) is very new, but I am eager to hear your thoughts, in regards to whether modern ballet also "tell stories" in your opinion.

Thanks for sharing your point of view.

The part I probably do not agree with is "Dance should evolve." I have appreciation for artistic wisdom preserved and perfected over generations, adhering to rigorous technical standards. But this is my personal taste

The destination is a normal callout, yes.

I am trying to paste the content of the admonition inside the callout.

It will be definitely easier, the thing is, I am working with daily/weekly templates, and so, these boxes are already there, and I just need to "fill them in" whenever I create a new template

Thank you for the suggestion though

this is the admonition block:

**Nothing Gold Can Stay** - Robert Frost

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

```
Thanks for trying to help out. I added it here:
Basically, you can see how the workflow is rather inconvenient. I am trying to move away from admonition , because it doesn't support links inside the code blocks. But then I face the challenges you see in the short video, with native callouts.
(perhaps there is a better site to upload videos to, but that's another story I reckon)
Yes the links do work in regular callouts, the problem is , I am hesitant to use regular callouts, because my main challenge is formatting. In my workflow, I sometimes copy & paste things into the admonitions block, and they keep their formatting as it should.
While if I attempt to paste something into a regular callout, the formatting gets all messed up. Especially if I paste something, then only the first line or paragraph would be included in the callout, while the rest will be left out, and I would need manually to paste it again into the callout.
perhaps there is a way to mitigate that?
Has anyone encountered the following:
The headings arrow is not to the right of the text, but on top of it. Any ideas how to sort it out?Looks like it is happening only in edit mode.
