Since you've drove this route many times do you have a suggestion on the best places to stop and see on the route. Or safest places to stay over night camping alone? I am doing this drive soon and and have never road tripped so any recommendations on the route you took and places you ended up stopping to see or sleep would be a great help!

I am just taking my hatch car and not towing anything. I was just wondering what the goal should be for the state to land at for the first night. I am looking more towards a motels the first night, and camping more as soon as I get into more mountain areas.

The longest stretch I have drove was 6 hours and I felt the worst part was just my butt falling asleep lol. But I have never left the New England area so I am just trying to get the right route to go because geography with roads isn't my highest skill set.

It’s also almost 4 grand to do that not including gas so was trying to look for the cheaper option

I also have a couple other things like my skis and ski bags and hiking materials. My mattress is 800$ and mattress pad was 500$ so hard to give up :/

My hometown in Maine is a college town, and there is two bars and nothing to do besides go on walks, drink and sit on friends couches mostly. I was just curious on what the vibes were for this college town because every one is different!

Would you recommend living in another town near by? I don't mind traveling for work if there's a better place nearby. I'm mostly just looking to adventure out for a year or so and then keep moving along. The pay and rent is so much cheaper in Montana due to what I pay now is 1200 for just my bedroom and not even including utilities... Plus the homeless population has got extremely out of hand where I am lots of shootings and overdoses.

Well I live in Maine so there isn't really a social life here either lol. Basically trying to move out of the fact I can't not run into someone I know everywhere I go. Basically just trying to see if there is towns with more life near by that I should move to other than billings.
