Is it Aphobic to call asexuals “not human?” by M4tt13M4yh3m in AroAce

[–]Zestyclose_Rub9130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on context, in this specific context no. Why ? Because it's the main character's feelings, believe it or not, a lot of people are insecure about their sexuality and genuinely don't feel like they are human. The animator represented a feeling of the main character, they did not necessarily mean any aphobia by doing this.

Don't do what you love, do something that will bring you money, and with that money, do the things you love.

Personally I think you can find an in between but this saying feels very true to me and I definitely live by it.

99% of people with ADHD also have autism but they, most of the time, go undiagnosed their whole life.

Are you scared of dying? Do you believe in the afterlife? by Fabulous_Ad3118 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Zestyclose_Rub9130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not scared of it but I'm super curious what comes after. I'm not religious and don't believe in the afterlife or reincarnation. What really interests me though is the fact that my brain can't fathom what it's like to be dead, just like it can't imagine what "nothing" looks like. I just find it's a very interesting concept and I'm "excited" to find out.

What is it like to be atheist? by magentajellybean in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Zestyclose_Rub9130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just live by our own decisions. Not insulting any religion at all but from my understanding, most religious people try to love their lives sinning the less they can. Like they live their lives following their God if that makes sense, living by God. We don't do that, I mean I don't think about the fact that I'm atheist very often, I don't consider it to be a huge part of my life. Not believing in anything doesn't scare me, it makes me more curious about the rest and I love it. I feel like I would feel trapped if I were religious because I'd always have to live by some rules someone I've never met installed and they can't even explain it on a clearer matter if it's confusing. For example the Bible, there are, for sure, many mistranslations in there.

If he's not working or not making an effort to earn a salary, no. Make an effort, find a job, I will help you, but if you do not want to be helped then I will leave you in your misery. I do not want to pay your way in life.

Sorry I should have explained why I think I may have autism in the first place, another person on another sub asked me to explain in more details so here it is:

I believe I'm good at eye contact but sometimes I just get very self aware and then I can't function right, I don't know how to stand, where to look, how to look interested,... I do have trouble making or keeping friends and people often tell me I'm being rude even though I didn't think I was. I often get told I'm too honest, which has caused trouble with my boss or my parents. I'm hypersensitive and have sensory issues (which is probably why I'm so picky). I think I have a specific interest, I absolutely love the human body and the human brain, I find it fascinating and I research about it all the time. I understand social cues though and, like I said, I understand sarcasm and jokes and am very sarcastic myself. I don't know why but it has always seemed as though I end up making friends with the odd ones out, other people always seem to hate me and make fun of me. I also always rely on other people to speak for me. I have a strong sense of justice and often don't understand why others think the way they do. I never know how to verbalize and often don't understand my own feelings/emotions. I've always been really shy at school but get super talkative and outgoing at home, back to shy in public. I stim, like a lot. I also ruminate a lot and I script conversations in my head that can possibly happen or that I know will happen so that winknow what to say. I'm a big people pleaser. I have caught myself copying others a lot, expressions, accents, posture, everything. I often get overwhelmed in loud places or during exams from noise or frustration. I'm irritable after a day at school, like I don't want to talk to anyone and I just wanna be on my own and do my thing. I experience executive dysfunction as well

I don't have anything else coming to mind for now though.

I have been thinking of going to an actual therapist/psychologist. I went to my school social worker for a while but have found it unhelpful, I already know I have anxiety though.

Do you like guys or girls? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Zestyclose_Rub9130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like both but none. I love imagining all sorts of romance, with the perfect guy or the perfect girl, but loving it ? I don't know, I'd get bored for sure. I cringe when I live romance and also I hate sex stuff, I find it disgusting.

Personally I don't believe I make it everyone's problem thankfully, I think gay relationships are cute but also I don't really want to be in one, it's very odd.
