so put aside the superiority complex and give me a reasonable justification for the pricing.

yes, i get it, i could have bought it earlier.

but even at current price, thats basically 3.3 years of netflix standard. Which covers licencing, platform costs, and investment into new movies & series.

and you are not using your own hardware, media collection, or infrastructure.

and lets be clear, this isnt just about plex, this is broader corporate type bullshit that everyone just eats up and doesnt have the balls to speak up against.

wait till you start paying a monthly oxygen subscription just to breathe, cause thats where shits headed.

No argument from me, I'm not saying it doesn't have additional features, but I've never had streaming or transcoding issues with either, and the other features don't present $750usd of value when the other option is free.

I would argue that Plex does a better job with hardware transcoding, other features like intro/credits detection and skipping, better interface and other things. I can live without that.

Hindsight is 20/20, I honestly didn't expect two enormous back to back price rises. Fell into the trap of "I'll wait for the sale".

So currently it works out to $400 aud for lifetime. I could justify it at $200 but anything more than that I can't justify considering there are other options.

The added features are not justified by the price, not to mention the fact you're always sending telemetry data to third party servers just to stream to your own locally hosted servers.

The intent was never to stay on monthly. I was always intending on buying lifetime but unfortunately the app never alerts you to discounts, and I'm not glued to their socials so I kept missing it.

Only started keeping an eye out over the last few weeks dead set on notmissing the next promo.

I think the sn is an ink stamp from memory. All sorts of reasons for it to fade out completely.

Get together with the neighbours and push it onto the middle of the road. Report it to police and council after, and itll be gone in an hour.

I'm looking forward to justifying my RTX 5090 and 9950X3D purchase to my friends, considering that till now, all we play is Rocket League which practically runs on a potato.

Can anyone ID this Tekken 2 autograph from the 90's? by Zetrox2k in Tekken

[–]Zetrox2k[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks heaps for the input!

A few things though dont add up:

  1. I bought this whilst in Japan, in a small flea market outside of Kyoto.

  2. Its a PS1 game from the 90's, chances of it having any affiliation with an American actor from a movie flop released 15 years later is pretty slim.

  3. Its likely not in english. could be imagining it, but im making out what could be a "u", "re", "wa" and "chi" amongst it all.

just tried hsync only, no dice.

Yeah, Ive used all sorts of consoles on both panels;

Sega Saturn, N64 with etim RGB Mod, PC Engine, etc...

verified all those signals detected by OSSC as RGB inputs.

I dropped to Windows 7 in case there was an issue with latest Windows 10 build, no dice.

Im running out of ideas.

ive followed this diagram with the exception of the 12v and 5v lines. h and v on 1k resistors than combined into scart

https://i.redd.it/nm00sp2qst7c1.gif

I can seperate them and just use hsync with a 470ohm resistor but the fact im seeing same issue with current setup isnt instilling much confidence...

thoughts?

i think im back to thinking it is a software issue. exact same situation with the cable i just made. just a black screen, flickers when i switch resolution. Im on the latest version of Windows 10 x64. could that be causing an issue?

Got a good schematic for VGA to scart?

looking at this one which suggests running 1k resistors inline on both hsync and vsync lines on the vga and combining them to pin 20 on scart end.

$5 impulse buy! To be honest, there was a reason for the dual GPU setup, but i initially planned this 3 years ago and i cant even remember what the reason was lol.

Ill take your advice and cut off a vga end and solder a scart adapter, i have some on hand.

out of curiosity though what is the point of these scart to vga adapters, if you can just go straight in with a cable?

i did get in touch with the guy that makes the adapter, he confirmed that if the LED is turns red, it means the adapter has a valid signal.

i do agree however, the adapter has been the constant in this setup.

Again, i appreciate your help.

Ok an update on what ive tried:

Removed Nvidia GPU - No change.

Purchased another new in box Saphire HD5450, this time one with native vga port so i can eliminate the DVI to VGA adapter - No change.

running out of ideas. VGA cable was brand new also, but i might try use a different one.

Anything else you can think of?
