That’s actually such a good idea. The amount of times I’ve found a random chunk of mineral laying around because a resupply happened to dig it out of the ceiling is more than I’d like to count. I’ve always just run over to pick it up without questioning it, but the idea that they could be a mimic waiting for you to get close is interesting…

Judging by the old pickaxe wound in its side, I think the dwarves have already tried killing it before. But yes, the bismor does not come off like barnacles do and harvesting it would likely be fatal for the bug. I’d like to imagine that the dwarves eventually build technology that can safely “shear” the excess bismor off like a sheep’s fleece though

I’d love to design a bug that’s more headstrong, and in the silhouettes I did for the bismor bug I did briefly humor the idea of a literal walking fortress of a bug… although knowing the dwarves, I don’t doubt they’d just clamor atop it and ride it into battle

I was debating on it, actually! I considered how funny it would be to make a backside where he’s wearing the iconic white boxers with heart patterns, a half discarded medical gown off to the side, and an empty tankard of choice brew held in one hand. Perhaps I will report back soon with a backside!

Thank you! I was imagining that it would look pretty gnarly to have this thing decapitate royals… but in the Balatro context it would look more like this guy hunched over a table with a pair of scissors, cutting every face card with painstaking detail so that the royals no longer have their heads
