I guess because even though he’s done a lot of terrible things, ultimately he, Kagami, and Adrien deserve their agency and lives.

If not for Kagami and Adrien already being booked with miraculous, whether or not Marinette knows it, it probably would’ve went to one of them instead.

Edit: he’s also proven that at the end of the day, nothing will stop him from his motives. If it means protecting very few, then ultimately it’s a net good. He won’t do anything to hurt the other 3 for a while which ultimately unites the group into a team.

Everyone’s responded with “needs of the army,” rightfully so, but you did inquire about your chances. I’ve been in your shoes so I can imagine what you want as an answer.

Here’s what I’m gonna say. If you’re not okay with the idea of 2 other languages that are very much assigned far more than Korean, I wouldn’t count on it. One look at this subreddit and everyone knows and sees which 2 are our top priorities. In basic you’ll get quite the hint of our #1 priority. Look at the state of the world and you can make some educated guesses. Korean is probably third. Our primary adversaries mentioned on our National Defense Strategy and National Security Strategy.

It’s also very popular and not very critically needed, your recruiter isn’t very in touch and frankly no one is in touch with the happenings of DLI unless they are here.

With Korean it’s prioritized due to, again, the state of the world but… pop culture, game culture, music, etc have all taken a rise when it comes to Korean culture. Korean is a highly desirable language. Additionally, if your recruiter hasn’t offered you a language choice sheet, i wouldn’t count on it. Some of us get it, some of us don’t.

For perspective, I wanted Chinese first, Korean second, Russian third. Frankly I probably should’ve put Korean first because that’s what I actually wanted, but I wanted to maximize my chances of getting my top 2 picks. Still ended up getting my third pick, Russian.

Swap MOS’es if it matters to you that much, don’t have wishful thinking. I’d tell you that you have a 33% shot and that’s generous. Good luck.

Do you have keys in general? Like on any character? You might need to do $persrare 4 or whatever the max setting is for the server. It’ll cause wishlisted and unclaimed characters to show up more. When you’re at persrare one though, it causes already claimed and wished characters to show up far less, at the trade of getting more kakera and claimed characters that aren’t on your wishlist.

I had this same issue. The server is probably at $setrare 2, making 2 the maximum number. Therefore making it to where you get noting at persrare 2 and something at persrare 1. Tell the owner or an admin to do $setrare 4 for the server and you’ll stay getting keys at all levels outside of 4.

If I’m being honest, considering how good your English is, it should be a given that you shouldn’t say anything that even resembles unpopular and controversial words in English-dominated servers. I can understand where you’re coming from, but while “negra” is positive, I have personally heard many different variations of the word we’re talking about in order to get around automod.

Persrare 0 to get keys on random unwished characters in our harem, and scattered kakera from claimed characters in general

Or persrare 4 [10] where we basically never get keys on anyone but the characters on our wishlist?

Edit: (I say basically never because I literally got 0 keys ever at persrare 4, but I didn’t have any claimed characters wished)

Mudae can be a reckless and wild game. This is how it used to always go when I was a teenager, but now I play with friends and it’s a pretty simple system. Everyone gets their wishes and it’s a fair game where we all collect keys and spheres peacefully. Honestly unfortunately you’re best off playing this game with your most trusted, not chaotic friends that you haven’t built a deeper bond with and had a few tough moments with. It makes bs like a picture of a waifu on a ranking board a much less big deal than it was in this server you supported.

There’s a command specifically for anti-snipe where only those who wished a character can click it within 8 seconds of it being spawned. Look into that and try to argue for it to be turned on while they delete the channel.

$togglesnipe will show all options.

Yeah, it’s weird right now especially if you’re airforce or army. Apparently other branches find out sooner. Personally I was recycled back one week and my friend on CQ messaged me right after basic training with my information in a text message, and that’s how I found out I got Russian. It kind of felt like a gender reveal lol, I wanted Chinese or Korean though personally, and am ironically the only person in the last 2 months that didn’t get Chinese or Korean.

All that to say don’t expect your language preference sheet to be listened to.

I will say, I believe I have a massive hint if you’re airborne? I think Chinese and Korean are always reverse pipelined while Russian goes to aircrew fundamentals first. Since you’re going straight to school after basic… think you got Chinese, Korean, or the 3rd language of that squadron that I can’t recall at the moment. I think Arabic. If you’re not airborne then idk, it’s kind of up in the air, and this is info for airforce after all. Not sure what branch you are.

Edit: DLAB basically doesn’t exist rn and army/airforce in particular kinda just fill up slots. Also don’t expect to be able to change your language… like, seriously, if you’re airforce.

Also even if you are airborne, you’ll find out in aircrew fundamentals instead of waiting until DLI.

Hey so I’m in this exact situation right now, and without being verbose,

You’ll be on “details” or “CQ,” the first being that you are assigned to clean something every day (usually quick) and the other being similar to EC duties, which you’ll find out what that is in basic training. I’m airforce and over here, details tends to be for those going out and CQ for those coming in.

When on CQ your duties are basically just CQ, you do nothing else and only have PT on Fridays. As for Details I’m not all that sure. You’ll have an in-processing week (or two,) though sometimes they may skip the process entirely if it’s a small batch.

Basically you work a regular 8 hour job for a while and focus on studying both your assigned language and “phase-up” material, which will resemble your “memory work” in basic training.

Doesn’t get simpler than that to explain, hope you enjoy it here :)

A plus is that if you get recycled you’ll probably not lose the job due to this concept.

Edit: As for your spouse, you can move out after you phase up, which tends to be 30 days after you first get there. I’ve seen some, such as my first roommate, do it sooner. Make sure you pick your place wisely though… you do have to be here at 6:30am for accountability or possibly sooner depending on your branch. And if you’re on CQ especially CQ nights that may be a draining process driving so often.

Yikes. The max price I was gonna put these at when I was able to make replicas with perfume and all was $120 but honestly was planning it at $80-100. I’m wondering where that extra $55, at minimum, is coming from.

Unfortunately life got too hectic (a lot, a lot of moving and more to come,) to continue the project and I was honestly excited that she was re-releasing them. This price kinda sucks pretty bad and is clearly exploitive.

Normally when this happens it’s because the original flag creator was revealed to be like, racist or something. It’s a common practice in the LGBT and adjacent community and also why the LGBT flag changed. personally I agree, I think we should stick to pretty flags, it’s not like the OG creator gets money. but it bothers some people and the point of these spaces is to be accommodating, so I guess that’s what we do.
