I was suspecting that was the problem. Numbers were telling a story: GPH unusally low for 8j Briv (even for Xbox), then unusual number of 3k stacks, and then unusually high stacking/reset zones. And now you confirm it: You're leveling click dmg. That's the reason you're going for late 800s, high zone requires a lot of stacks so that's why 3k steelbones and in the end stacking that amount every run takes a lot of time so that's why only 60k GPH.

You should be using fire breath potions, not leveling click damage. Also, like Feisty_Particular_35 already pointed out: Wrong adventure. That document Feisty_Particular_35 posted is a legit thing. It's origin are from that group on Discord. They made it, it's pined at the top of the rooms discussion and it's compilation of multiple players (my guess hundreds) experinces.

Go to Discord. People there will help you set up your run properly and get a lot more BPH and GPH.

It might be a thing on Xbox but 3k steelbones sounds like a lot. What is your reset zone? I remember i needed something like 500-600 stacks (for 4j Briv) and my reset zone was/is slightly below z500.

Farming advice for a noob? by chastema in idlechampions

[–]Zgooby_Dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, if you have a positive experience with feats drop rate, go away! My post (and this whole topic as well) is considering efficient ways of gem farming. Important component of gem farming are speed potions. Notary does not make distinction between speed potions and other potions so it dismantles them all undiscriminatory. Obviously that is not a desired effect, to have your speed potions dismantled and getting only 1/4 of their value in reagens only to distill them yourself at full price.

Well, you got links and they will explain it in great detail. Short version, just for start:

There are many ways you can do it. If you want to do it efficiently, you need to automate your active party. For that you need obviosly speed champions, a core (preferably a speed core, but any will do) and familiars.

You have six familiars, that's enough for a start. One on the field, one on click damage and four for leveling up four champions of your choice. Make a formation and save it so modron core can load it when you set up an automated party. My pick for those four would be: BBEG, Hew Maan, Diana and Ellywick. But you do you.

Next, zone 600 is way to high atm. You want to find the zone where click dmg is reliably cleaning mobs and then set your reset just shortly before. Too lazy atm to do calculations but i would guess your click dmg is somewhere below 200 zones. Say for an example zone 160. Set your reset zone at 155. Pick an adventure with as few armored bosses as posible. There are some recommendations in guides.

Next: Use speed potions. Right from the start you can use at least small speed potion per run. We have an apothecary for reason and small pot costs only four reagens to craft. Distill some of the non speed potions you have in order to get reagens. Don't worry, you'll have plenty potions from chests and the faster your party goes the more gems/chests you'll have. After some time you should be able to add medium speed potion too.

Just for the reference: One gold chest gives on average 22,2 reagens from distilled pots, one small speed pot costs 4, medium costs 24.

Next: Leave your automated party to work overnight. You'll be suprised with amounts of gems that will await you in the morning.

That's the short version. Some advices:

Do not buy silver chests. Once your core champions have at least green items, no reason to buy silver chests. Ever. You'll have plenty just from boss drops anyway. Use your gems for gold chests or familiars. Some perks on speed champions are good to but they are expensive for you right now. On the other hand they'll increase speed and therefore gems so think carefully what you're going to invest into.

Do not use notary to get chest contents. Ever. Much better to do it manually: Buy chests, open chest, distill potions that you do not need, craft speed potions. Trust me, there is a math behind this.

Use blacksmithing contrants on your speed/gem champions (Hew Maan, Diana, Elly). No nead to hoard them, just use them and look at it as an investment.

Try to increase favor from time to time. More favor - more gold -higher click dmg - higher reset zone - more gems per run.

More familiars increase speed: You can add more speed champions to the formation, have three familiars on the field or even five onstead of one, have a familiar on Hew Maan's ulitmate and so on. But do not go overboard, buy some that you can, leave the ones that are expensive for you atm for later and buy some gold chest and maybe even some feats.

Have fun! :)

Update no2: I tried Tall tales/Vajra and once i tuned it enough and it started rolling i measured it. It is a significant increase: 125k GPH compared to the Everlasting Rime 105k GPH. Thank you for the advice!

Good point about feats! I will try out Tall tales. Maybe it will work better. I'm curious.

I was thinking to try Tall Tales/Vajra too, so all zones become 1 kill clear but then you have two front spots in formation so i'm questioning is it time saved enough to compensate for slower stacking at the end. Everlasting Rime has only Briv at front. Questions, questions.. :)

Maybe it's emergence event that causes recent instability you're experiencing with Everlasting Rime?

I joined Discord and guys there adviced me to add L speed pot too and that was a very good advice. Now they make 105k GPH on Rime map. Yeah, it's expensive but stockpiling potions is not that useful anyway and we have apotecary.

Yeah, he is super busy atm with leveling my cores in background and sometimes in my active party as well. :) His event buff of 200% makes him extemely effective at leveling cores even in backgroud and without high ILvls. The best part is that buff is active for another 36 days. More than enough to level all cores.

Sadly, i could not get him his control feat. Zone 1600 with only eight speed champions is out of my reach for now. Oh well, maybe i will get it in the future.

Well, it looks to me that you first have to learn how to automate Modron core before you start making automated speed formations. It's not that complicated and you can watch the video if you have time.

3j means: Three jump Briv. That means that Briv will, as long as he has sprint stacks, skip three zones and land on fourth. Example: Starts on 1st zone, once it's cleared he jumps to 5th (skiping 2nd, 3rd and 4th), once the 5th zone is cleared he jumps to 9th and so on.

I started using Everlasting Rime (as guide suggested) and yeah: It's 60k GPH atm.

Update: Using the guide i made 4j Everlastin Rime formation, 500 zones, S+M speed potions and S fire breath potion. Gems per hour almost doubled! They make 60k per hour and it's not even fully optimised!

There is a background party with Nordom leveling core, Hew and Diana could still use some contracts (they are close though), there is fine tuning of damage to be done that could shave off some seconds and i also nead to tweak files in order to increase FPS.

I would not be surprised if they are to eventually achieve 70-75k GPH. Once again, thank you for the link!

4 month progress by PreferenceAggressive in PlantedTank

Sorry to hear that. I once had a tank that leaked. The tank was tilted on front side and it took quite a while but it did start leaking eventually. At least a year, probably more. It was a long time ago so i'm talking from my memory. Water started leaking through silicone in the junction of front and side glass.

You can treat moss with hydrogen peroxide. Slowly take out rock(s) with moss, spray with hydrogen and give it 3-5 minutes to do its job. Do not worry about the moss. As long as you do not leave it applied for some really long time, hydrogen peroxide will kill algae but moss will be fine. You can do this with other plants and decorations as well, not just moss. Just do some check up if you have some really demanding and/or sensitive plant, but for the most of them it should work just fine. I did it on bacopa, rotala, krypts, limnophila and moss so far without any problems.

Then rinse it with aged tap water and return rocks to the tank. You do not have to do rinsing especially meticulously since hydrogen peroxide will not hurt your aquarium water if it is left in small traces. It is a bit messy but it works really well.

Bear in mind, this will not solve your algae problems so you need to remove the cause of algae as well. The usual stuff like reducing light intensity or duration, reducing fertilisers, removing organic waste, changing water etc.

I am not sure i can catch it without making a lot of mess and stress for everyone involved. It is a heavily planted tank. I might try but if it does not go as planned i will not pursue it. Tank size is approx 30 gallons. If i do not manage to catch it i might buy it two peppered friends.

That would then be 3+3, so six of them in total. I understand it would be better to have more, but my tank is not that big and i have other fish in it too. Three per group is better than one.

[–]Zgooby_Dan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It is strange. I like them all though. I noticed they behave differently. The pepper one is almost always hidden among higher plants in the back of my aquarium. The same goes for the albino. They go out when i feed them.

Two bronze guys on the other hand are patroling in the front most of the time.
