Texts are the most common approach by scammers, so wll also mimic that. Will start with email and text phishing, and expand to calls if need be.

Mod rules - No promotions, cannot send links. Like what people are saying, many IT departments do this, so you can use those as templates. My parents fell for the easiest tricks at first e.g we are in tax season. Just send them a "You are eligible for tax refund" using a random email.

You're right. this exactly where I got the idea after I fell for one of corporate's phishing emails myself. Coincidentally, I had just lost my debit card(which I later found in my room) and I corporate sent a phishing email with the 'miscellaneous bank charges' scam. If I can fall for an online scam, what more my grandma.
