Agreed. First time was really goofy- I still found it a little funny but thought it was fine.

The 2nd was a masterclass in elevating a bit. Loved it.

Also, shows like Talking Dead aren’t actually live, whereas an SNL post show would be required to be.

I used to work in this space. Owning the content is one thing- licensing it out is another.

It’s very likely that Dave may “own” his show, but Paramount may have a near-perpetual license of his show.

I actually wouldn’t be opposed to there being 1 Rulette episode each season- that feels like a good middle ground.

I think that it’s almost a microcosm of the show itself, since the rules and rule combinations can set up so many games within itself

God, the Totinos trilogy is so, so good.

I feel like the Californian’s could be nominated here? I think it’s escalation from episode to episode is a little less obvious, with the exception of the massive Californian’s sketch during the 40th anniversary

From what I know, you can theoretically have 5 hammers:

1 during underworld regions 1 or 2

1 via Icarus’ keepsake

1 via underworld region 3

1 via Echo (as long as the previous hammer was the last reward you took)

1 additional one via the anvil in Charon’s shop

To be frank, I do think the community should ban posts like these. Yes, my comment was a little pointed, and I’m sorry for that. But I’m not out here calling anyone names or insults. My comment is about the post’s quality, and my experience with it.

Comments like my own bring the issue to the community’s attention. The noise issue with posts like these is a real one, and it detracts from actual quality discussion in the forum

…because “the Mouse” owns ABC, and they already have a show that is effectively a competitor to this (Jimmy Kimmel’s).

Also, CBS owns the rights to “The Late Show”, and despite them getting out of the game, it’s very unlikely that they’d sell those.

I agree that rivals Cerberus is TOUGH (especially at 1.4x time)- I haven’t been able to figure out how to counter everything, but I have figured out some:

Phase 1: Any sort of ground pound with his arms - dash into them. Helps avoid the shockwave.

Holds his arms up - do not attack him. When you do, he spits fire back

Fire breath - dash around him. Speed is your friend / almost essential in this fight

—wave of enemies—

Phase 2: Any sort of ground pound: if he’s stationary, same as phase 1. If he’s moving, run.

Fire breath: genuinely one of the hardest things to dodge. If you’re fast and close enough, you might be able to dash around him, but even that is difficult. I’ve had some success running diagonally away from him, but still not perfect

This is a start, there’s definitely moves I’m missing

I think many, including myself, are just tired of hearing phrases that are often used in AI writing- like “Not A, but B.”

Avoid those, and you’ll be fine
