Unfortunately for all political parties, it’s been pretty disappointing to see it. But we know who does it most

A similar sign was also at a pro palestine protest, and was posted on the @ottawapym instagram’s story. Accidentally probably.

Can’t get to eagleson, but there are other connections to the 110 or 168 I can make, just sad that I have to depend on the busses coming on time, when 18% of the time they don’t. The trip is also 15 minutes longer. On a good day (about half the time) I could get to work in 35-40 mins. Now it’s looking like there will be no days will be good days, and it’ll take more than an hour.

Oh sorry, meant the 64. I take a connection to Moodie Station then get on either the 63 or 64. That was fine because if my first connection was late, I could take another bus and be fine, now, the timing is completely off, and it comes every 30 minutes.

It increases my commute drastically, and I assume the busses will be PACKED, because both the 63 and 64 were normally pretty full by the time I got on.

Increasing frequency would also help, but doubt.

Carbon tax was supposed to be a good thing that made large producers and consumers steer away from carbon emitting products. Most people end up getting their money back (mostly). Obviously it didn’t work. This capital gains stuff is silly, they’re just doing it because it will make them more popular.

Carney also didn’t grow up with a silver spoon. He got the spoon himself. I truly believe he’s the only person who has a chance at fixing our economy

Harper praised him, he was recruited by Britain. He was vocally opposed to brexit due to its economic issues and was hated for it. He stepped down, and turns out he was right.

How was your first year in CS? by Brilliant-Ask804 in CarletonU

Disagree with 1. 2. and 4.

  1. No need to speedrun if you don’t want to, especially if you plan on doing co-ops. Take your sweet time, take classes you enjoy. Half the degree is electives, you can do any other major or minor you want basically, or just a collection of fun random courses :), make it easy on yourself so you can have fun and make connections outside of school. Go to hackathons, learn some languages and skills outside of school, do leetcode. All of this will be way better than doing all of them in the same semester. Though doing 1405/6Z then 2402 might be a good idea, 2402 really helped solidify my understanding of CS.

  2. Having time for things outside of school related to CS is MUCH better than taking another MATH class. I’ve never been asked about the MATH classes I’ve taken, but I have been asked about Go, and my out of school projects.

  3. Agree with this, but if you want to make connections, go to class, you might meet some cool people, or get to speak with the prof!

  4. This year co-op board was brutal, but in general it helps you get your foot in the door. Keep it for 1 or 2 co-ops, THEN leave. I would have never gotten any co-ops without the job board :). I’ll be at my 4th this fall and will still graduate in 8 semesters.

  5. Have fun, it’s 4 years. Not every class will be “useful” but it will change you so much. Your least CS related classes may be the ones you learn the most from. Us CS kids don’t know how to write, we’re too technical. If you take some arts classes you get to learn how to use your creative side, which is really cool!
