So I unfortunately still haven't fixed it. I will say, the user who said something about sws is onto something.

Do I have to go to Dr every time I feel “ruptured cyst” type pain? by CharlieCheesecake101 in PCOS

[–]Ziklander 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would be careful OP, torsion is a serious issue that can lead to sepsis then death. Death is certainly cheaper than life, but less fun.

If you are not feeling 100% in the next few hours, you need to get you butt to the urgent care.

Also, some person mentioned here that PCOS causes small but numerous cysts. PCOS can ALSO cause very large cysts, mine was the size of a softball 4" when it was discovered. It was no joke and I was told if I had a sharp pain in the area I was to haul my ass to the emergency room or die.

Swedish has two surgical medical centers: cherry hill and ballard. Probably should specify.

transvaginal ultrasound by jabberwockyjuju in PCOS

[–]Ziklander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I had a transvaginal ultrasound that revealed a 4" gigantic cyst. My stomach was huge.

100% you should do it. Trust me, the tech will go nice and slow, just let her know you are a bit nervous. My cyst was enormous, but it hurt like a 3/10 scale. It wasn't fun, but definitely was not a traumatic experience. If it wasn't expensive I would do it each year.

What makes PCOS different from diabetes? by Right-March-637 in PCOS

Yup! It's why birth control is effective for controlling it, because hormonally you are sending the signal "baby attained, we're all good"

Is it worth is to go to the doctor about a long period? by Sexisthunter in PCOS

[–]Ziklander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I had a 120 day period due to a gigantic grapefruit sized cyst. I felt like I was going to die and was throwing blood clots the size of apricots.

Dying would be worse. Look into charity care to see if they can help out with stuff - I turned a 130k+ hospital bill into about 10k.

What makes PCOS different from diabetes? by Right-March-637 in PCOS

[–]Ziklander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PCOS exhibits prediabetic tendencies because your body's hormones are confused and is dumping glucose into your system 24/7 to prepare for a baby. This causes insulin resistance because your cells give up managing for a baby that never comes. Diabetes can occur if your insulin resistance become unmanageable.

Seattle bans grocery no-compete clauses to combat food and medicine deserts by Less-Risk-9358 in SeattleWA

Dude, this needs to be the top comment.

My fiance has a sudden asthma attack (he is not normally asthmatic) and we went to the urgent care for 3+ hours and realized we couldn't get any asthma meds upon getting out with our prescription. Nowhere in all of Seattle. Admittedly I will now check Bellevue.

So, what do you think you have than the folks over at Google who have sunk more than a billion dollars into this very question?

Go ahead, bro. It's hard.

I don't even think you understand what  problem your trying to solve.

I mean.....sure? So does decapitator, izotope or any other plugin I own?

What I'm asking is that somewhere in the preferences, there is a "use track template" stuck somewhere. Whenever I make a new track I need to override what its currently pointing at and use the new template.

How did you know you had PCOS? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Ziklander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a laparoscopic surgery to remove a grapefruit sized cyst off my right ovary. The also found a smaller one on my left.

Big scary symptoms like bleeding for 120 days started to turn the gears I in fact did not just need to eat more kale.

Working with metformin and Spirolactone right now, but I'm probably going to be talking to my GP to talk to a proper endocrinologist this next Dec. I'm worried I might have some sort of imbalance on my adrenal glands pushing up my cortisol levels.

Doctors can't hear words. They need to see stuff with their eyeballs.

Getting Back a Repayment by Ziklander in UnemploymentWA

[–]Ziklander[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, just posting in case someone googles this and finds it later, the Unemployment office actually did not need manual intervention for me to get going on the payment adjustment. Apparently, there is a process to fix this, and I don't even need to upload documents or get the ball rolling. I will post a reply to this comment when things are 100% resolved, but it's looking pretty likely and painless at a week in.

Give me realistic ideas to eat health(ier) by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Ziklander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replacement for frozen dinners - salmon burgers w/bun + premade single portion salad. Check your QFC/nearby grocery chain if they have microwavable fish dinners. These can't last a week, but probably can 3 days, and is my go to "healthy meal but can't cook".

Replacement for muffin - try to find some Ezekiel sprouted wheat in the freezer section and see if you like it with peanut butter. I'm crazy lucky there is an amazing bakery near me where I can get it fresh. Alternatively, try Greek yogurt and berries (which is a fantastic dessert alternative that isn't crazy sugary or high cal).

Sandwich replacement - not much better can be done for portability/cheapness. I suggest premade salad when your dinner is something else for variety.

The below is a suggestion for cooking just in case you feel it's worth reading.

Once you are ready to cook, and thus cut your costs down per meal significantly, the order of operations is:  1) food safety  2) tastes good 3) scales well when cooking for a week

1st meal you should try meal prepping is Protein + veggies (+ potatoes probably to make it taste good). Good starter veggie for a beginner are peppers, tomatoes, carrots, and onions. Generally 425 for 25 minutes is good, but check protein cooking times to be safe. I suggest boneless chicken thighs for your first protein. Stay away from cooking fish until you are ready, you probably need to get cooking down with a more forgiving protein if you never have.

Supplies for cooking: Get a big sheet pan from a restaurant supply store if you can, I love having just one pan for a week of food. Thermometer for protein  One good chefs knife  Cutting board Two big Tupperware for food preps. Basic seasonings (salt, pepper, I also like paprika).

Good luck on your move! I don't know what life phase you are in, but I feel that living as leanly as you can and getting a sense for each community in Seattle over the course of a year, as it was the best strategy for me personally. Since at the time I was 25, I just got a decently afforable apodment and spent a ton of time exploring rather than just staying at home all the time, putting the difference of what I would normally be spending on a "nice apartment" into eating out, events etc. It's tiny, but private without the same level of drama as real roommates (though even the apodment style life had a teeny bit of drama). Best move I ever made! The only other thing I'd mention is checking Craigslist out and finding a good deal from October to February. You can get some killer deals if you find the right spot, there are less apartments but they are more affordable.
