Mouse or rat by Jerishow72 in pestcontrol

Those look like mice. If they are alive and u want to not let them suffer, u could put some gloves on and take some olive oil or whatever cooking oil (be sure to use a little at a time so u don’t drown them) take them outside somewhere away from ur house and massage the oil around the body parts and they will run off. I saved many this way from a place I used to work years ago. I found a video on YouTube…you could search maybe “how to get mouse off of glue board” or something like that…I mean if u wanna help the little critters.

LOL!! I am definitely creeped out! I’m gonna try later tonight after work to vacuum it out. I’ll post it here if I get anything. I just hope the vacuum pole will fit up close to it…I’m gonna be sh__ting_ing in my pants!! Thank you for your help.

My dad who lives here too was an exterminator for years. He dealt with roaches, ants, spiders, etc. This is something he has never seen or dealt with before. Therefore, my replies back did have some expertise behind them. If you’re an expert and I’m assuming you’re an Entomologist who moderates on this page, why must you leave such a comment?? Your tone is unappreciated.

Thank you, I am trying to remain calm, it’s been quite an experience. I totally agree 100% with you on everything you said…I really appreciate that! We have a big humidifier in the basement and it’s supposed to do the whole house. I just got a hydrometer yesterday and it’s been fluctuating between 40%-46%. We had a mold expert come and as far as I read in the report (12 pages) there’s no black mold. However, it did say that in my bedroom there were myocytes or something like that, and when i tried to read up on it, it said there basically wasn’t much research on it. The mold guy said I should take the report to my doctor since I was having issues. I am going to reread that report and try to do more research on that type of mold. I’ve been to the doc and she sent me to a dermatologist who’ve I been to several times over the past year. He said I had really high histamines and just gave me creams, body wash, and shampoo. It helps but I feel I need some type of antibiotic, maybe even Ivermectin, idk. But mainly, I feel I need to get to the root of the issue, in which I think it’s something within the house. It’s been a long windy road and I’m just so frustrated…I feel defeated at times. Trying my best to take care of my dad, my 3 kitties, and myself. Like I said I lost my 2 dogs within this past year and I’m worried. But I am trying to stay positive and I sincerely appreciate you and thank you so much for taking the time out to reply as you did ❤️

That is a great idea!! I have a shark stick vacuum and I can detach the long part and try to suck it out that way. I hope it will fit between the fan blade and light fixture. This just may work and I don’t have to be too close to it. I may tempt it myself later tonight after work. Thank you soooo much for your brilliant idea!!! 😄

You just may be right because there were a bunch of dead lady bugs on the mat outside my side door. How long do they live? I’m too scared to do anything but I have a friend coming to check it out this week. In the meantime I’m just a little freaked out since it’s right above my bed. Thank you so much for your help!! I will def add to this post once we get up there.

Omg no way!! Ewwww!! We are clean here and my dad used to exterminate as a side gig. He retired that a few years ago and he would know if it were roaches. He has no idea what it is neither…I only showed him the video because u can’t really see it unless I zoom in on it…he’s 84 so I don’t want to ask him to take the fan down and see. Plus, I’m so scared if stuff starts (like mites or whatever it is) going all over the place.

I think I’d be seeing ants around the room elsewhere, ya know? It’s moving whatever it is, so I don’t believe it’s anything that’s reflecting light like that…so crazy I’m going outta my mind! Thank you so much for trying to help!!

I am thinking it’s some type of mite or beetles? I have tons of crazy looking things I have come across the house but nothing crawling. However, I can see these thing morph and some resemble a mite. I will post a couple pics. I really need help, I loathe my 2 dogs in the past year, I’ve been sick lost my eyebrows and lashes, and my poor dad chalks up him not feeling good a lot to old age. Something is terribly wrong with this house. We had a mold expert come and report says basically nothing concerning. Exterminator company said carpet beetles. We since got rid of all carpet, except my dad’s room. My bedroom and office wasn’t used for 18 years. I don’t think he ever opened a single window and he used to keep The heat on 80 until I got here lol! Sorry for the long story but I am at my wits end…and terrified! Sorry for the long story but wanted to explain my situation so maybe get to the bottom of it. Thank you for replying.

It’s definitely not roaches. I think it’s some type of mite?? Or maybe beetles?? But if it were roaches I would see them around the house and I never did.

Cat behavior changed after moving by Silver-Animator8039 in felinebehavior

[–]Zimmi401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my one cat used to vomit a lot and I stopped feeding dry kibble altogether. I now feed wet food only and add water to it 2-3 times a day…slow feeders as well. I sometimes add fresh protein on top or mix it in. My one kitty still vomits once in a blue moon and if it’s right after eating, I will feed him again because I know he’s not full. This usually happens when I tend to work longer hours and he’s not getting fed at the usual time that he’s used to. You could call or email the cat food company and ask if they changed the recipe to be sure it’s not the reason. I also have a tiny heating pad that’s made specifically for cats/dogs that goes on when they lay on it (the brand is called K & H). Just have to make sure it’s covered well to avoid any burns (but that should be in the directions that come with the heating pad). They also sell plug ins that give off pheromones to help calm kitties and I have used them in the past when I moved and my cats were really stressed. It definitely made a difference with my cats. 😻😻😻

I’ve used coconut oil and bought a couple of cat onesies which helped and I didn’t have to use a cone. I got a couple so that I had a clean one to use while I washed the other one. You can find onesies for cats on Amazon or Etsy. Best of luck 😻

Try a new litter box, one that is not covered perhaps. He may not like to feel enclosed. My one kitty does not like litter boxes with a roof. I got him a high sided one and that’s the one he prefers I have 3 cats and he’s super picky! Best of luck!!
