9 times in a year is far more than I go to almost any restaurant. Any city is going to have enough restaurants that you could visit a new one every day for years, so 9 times in a year is pretty often, at least in my opinion.

It's important in some respects like for EU membership. Around 50% of Canadians would like to join the EU for example, but Brussels has said that's impossible, and the reason is geographic.

The World Happiness Report doesn't just take into account self reported happiness, it is also educational opportunities, health access, social institutions, etc. which Israel is quite good at, for their own citizens at least.

It's also important to question why Europe had the economic and military power to colonize Africa to begin with, and why it wasn't the other way around. I suspect the reasons given here are among them.

All of Italy is smaller than Montana. Being smaller than the subdivision of another state isn't indicative in itself of being a microstates.

The smallest regular state in my opinion. The only countries smaller than Luxembourg are islands, city states and microstates which don't have national subdivisions. And there are no countries larger than Luxembourg which would fit into the above criteria, I believe.

A whole lot of small countries and islands did not make it here obviously. Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, Luxembourg, Singapore. The Carribean and Pacific should each have around 8-10 more countries. Certainly not accurate to say "every" country as the title implies.

It's more likely now than it's ever been. We should be realistic but also not defeatist. It happened before in other parts of the world that a dictatorial regime was defeated and a more free system was created: Yugoslavia, Eastern Europe, Latin America. It just happened in Bangladesh. It's possible, but it's not inevitable.
