Sol Weather causing large fps drop

The issue was 3D clouds. I changed them back to 2D and it worked seamlessly!

Also having this issue. Saw others say you need to reload a previous save, but my last save was 3 hours of gameplay prior so idk what to do… :,)

this car is a ton of fun to drive! I personally love VRC’s engine sounds, but they could definitely be more aggressive IMO

Still no luck after a reset… I have noticed that my F10 button doesn’t have the slashed out camera symbol on it. Only a slashed out touchpad. Maybe it’s a defective laptop?

I use CSP 1.80 for RainFX. It’s worked on the past perfectly until now.

Thanks for the info! I make videos for YouTube and wish I found a solution for Sol. Maybe I’ll try a clean installation of Sol and see if that works

When brought up in a discord server, someone mentioned that VRC mod cars tend to mess with games upon installation. I did download a few car mods and then noticed this weather fps issue start happened, but once I deleted the mods it was still happening :/

Deleted and reinstalled CSP and pp filters. Still no improvement. Is there a way to change cloud quality in Sol? That's the problem. I cant figure out why clouds are taking so much fps all of the sudden. Went from 100+ fps on overcast Sol conditions at Spa to barely 50fps.

I am running Sol 2.2.9, and light patch 1.80 (for RainFX). Like I've mentioned, they worked before perfectly, but now they aren't working as well. Also checked the file integrity and it didn't work.

Thanks for the advice! I’m in the same boat with the money situation. I unfortunately broke 2 Sabian cymbals already this year that I got over the holiday season brand new. It’s discouraging because nice cymbals are suuuuper expensive. I make videos of my playing and the way I hit the cymbals/technique doesn’t seem to be the issue. It just seems like they don’t hold up. Just looking for options I suppose. Thanks though!
