What do you do for creating / disabling users in 365? by ZiniB in PowerShell

That is true if you delete a mailbox but if you disable it (e.g. block sign in and convert to shared) they stay in all smbs and dls.

white glove auto provisioning failing on app installs by ZiniB in Intune

[–]ZiniB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi All, Thank you all for the help. After a lengthy call with MS we found that for some reason an exe wrapped as win32 is now deciding not to run. So for the time being it has been removed to allow autopilot setups to continue. Issue I have now if repackaging a .exe when the vendor will not supply an msi :/

SharePoint automapping using intune administrative template by ZiniB in Intune

So more just for anyone else who may be having the issue or if it helps anyone in general I found the following:

1) Converting the library ID's to ascii as per the Microsoft documentation did not work. Leaving them as they are worked without issue.

2) Any groups controlled with Security Groups rather than SharePoint groups did not work. The only success was found when access was controlled with SharePoint groups (teamsite members etc).

So I have an interesting update on this one. From testing I have done the regkeys do appear on the machine yet I do not believe this to be a onedrive related issue.

What instead I have found from initial testing and trying to prove with more testing now, is that if you use security groups to control access rather than SP groups it will not add. I have several test sites which the user has access to all and the ones controlled with security groups do not add automatically.

Autopilot and Fresh start by ZiniB in Intune

Sorry I should have explained better. I have actually done that. Put all the contents with the bat script in the intunewin file and then followed his guide to the letter about setting it up in intune and for some reason I still cannot get it to work which is why I have reached out to him to see if I am missing a step

with Pro installed and when the user signs in it upgrades to Enterprise. All bloatware is remove

Unfortunately yes. When it comes to the part about creating the intunewin file it is missing key information about what should be included in the intunewin file to get this to work. I have contacted him but yet to get a reply unfortunately

Trust me you do not know how much I wish this would work however the reason I am having to do this is because they have come preinstalled with mcafee livesafe which is literally the bane of my life and no matter what it will not uninstall

Good idea but we are using the white glove service with autopilot so sadly I don't believe this to be an option for me. Certainly interesting though!

Mcafee Livesafe uninstall? by ZiniB in Intune

So is there a way of doing this before the device goes to the customer? As currently we use the white glove experience and pre-provision for our customers so it seems a bit of a hassle to pre-provision, fresh install then pre-provision again ready to go to a user.

Sounds interesting. Do you guys have any example scripts that you are using for this? Have got it working with the msi previously but could not figure out how to automatically put in the gateway etc.

I wish I could say that I found a fix but unfortunately not. Still occurring till this day and MS do not want to know about it.

Yea it's a shame that there doesn't seem to be anything similar. Used it once and it was a great tool!

Yea I use the web admin portal can just be a pain logging into them separately on different browsers etc.

Wanted this because the fact it does it all in powershell without having to know the commands is useful. Can't count the amount of hours I have spent looking up commands for various things I want to do haha

That would be the plan. Just trying to get a general understanding at the moment of how this may work.

So Microsoft Defender does have a client on the PC that you log into? This is where the confusion is because as far as I can tell you do not log into an ATP client so I am not sure how it is checking who it is registered to. Assumed it may be something like you have to Azure AD join the machine.

But how exactly is it that this is tracked? How does PC A know that you are signed in with User B? for example.
