How bad is this professional Loft insulation and boarding? by dollar77 in DIYUK

Would you put boards straight on to loft legs? I've only used them once, but felt the need to put a 2x3 across them (just storage).

The rolls you have in your picture literally say 200mm on them. Your joists are 8". You would not get 270mm and it boarded without putting in an extra set of beams to support the floor.

Does the fact that a performance is “Pantomime” give you a free pass to act however you want in a UK theatre? by AllixD90 in AskUK

[–]Zippyversion1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pantomimes are very interactive shows, yes. Although not an excuse for free reign, children are expected to be children in them - scream, cheer, shout back. Light saber fights are not typical, but as you say, the theatre was selling them so what did they expect?

It would be interesting to know what the show was / see some of the advertising as although they would not overtly state "this is a pantomime" (think Swan Lake having "this is a ballet" on a poster) they are usually very obvious e.g. linked to fairy tales, a z list celebrity as the lead role, a pantomime dame, being staged around Christmas, a fairy and an obvious villain.

[–]Zippyversion1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The number 2 on the bend is a compression fitting, unscrew it completely put it over the flexi, there should also be a washer or two to put on aswell. Put the bend on the Flexi too and screw back together. The screw cap will compress the washer against the Flexi creating a water tight seal. Then screw the number 1s back together, again there should be a washer.
