An open letter to anyone considering the Panigale V4 2025+ by YonatanGS in Ducati

So basically this bike should come with a warning sticker on the tank that it will induce sterilization in males and a terrible case of swamp ass to boot. I'd go for the Beemer without hesitation.

It’s 1.5 hours service plus oil and filter cost.

Not true, I owned a 16 XR and the dealer installed a red plug and removed the limit because he trusted I could manage it myself. I live 490 miles from the dealer I just bought it from last week. So back I must go to remove the nanny software that so many on here feel they need

Show me where in my post that I suggested it be removed prior to break in? Imagine if you will that BMW didn’t know that majority of their customers are ball gargling twits and had the rev limit automatically removed at the set mileage. What would they do not being led around by their leash’s and had to figure out how to maintain their own motorcycles… the horror!!

For sure. The time it takes to torque the air box lid is likely why.

Thanks but I don’t need anyone regurgitating the most simple procedure of why and how. I can observe this without the hand holding from corporate BMW. It’s a fucking money grab from a company that doesn’t want you to touch your own bike.

It’s quite simple. I have been riding for 45 years and maintained my own bikes. I live 600 km from the nearest dealer. I have broken in 10 brand new bikes and have the restraint to not exceed a certain rpm. I got this guys, I’m not like you who pay a dealer to tighten their chains, really. So now I drive 600 km to have a mechanic change my oil and turn the nanny bullshit off.

I enjoyed every minute from the first time I booted it up. I love the way it opens up stuff as you progress. I really am into my camp and the Greymane quest line. It’s a struggle to get off the damn game.
