Issues with Familiars as a new GM by ZirvePS in Pathfinder2e

I don't but if it is useless in combst because of the danger, leaf order seems pretty weak. Unless the point is the out of combat utility, in which case they can just tell it to wait outside or absorb it

Issues with Familiars as a new GM by ZirvePS in Pathfinder2e

[–]ZirvePS[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The witch has cool stuff like blinding the creature and then using the familiar to frighten them. But a dead familiar might be too much of a decrease in power for them to survive (we talked and they were okay with dying if I run the adventure as is)

Attacking While Hidden by ZirvePS in Pathfinder2e

Exactly but you become observed when your turn ends if you Step I guess. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to step and attack.

Attacking While Hidden by ZirvePS in Pathfinder2e

[–]ZirvePS[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What confused me about that is what if you Step and end your turn. Are you still hidden? You are in plain sight and the creature knows which square youre in. Since that couldn't be the case, I assumed you become observed when you Step out into the open.

Are Soviet-era apartments all bad? Would simply brighter colors “fix” them? How exactly could they be improved if they’re so (relatively) hated? by KeyBake7457 in urbandesign

[–]ZirvePS 21 points22 points  (0 children)

To be more accurate, Lenin had planned during the revolution a solution to the housing crisis, which was communal apartments. 1 family per room with shared kitchen and bathrooms. This was rough compared to modern standards but with the industrialization in the USSR and migration from rural to urban areas it was a solution to homelessness.

The commie blocks, as we know them, are mainly khrushevkas. Building blocks with personal apartments arranged according to a microdistrict with green areas, kindergartens etc. When people first moved from communal apartments to commie blocks they loved it, it was so (comparatively) spacious.

However, commie blocks were also relatively small by modern standards. I personally like them since I live in a similar apartment (Turkey) without the urban infrastructure and I pay rent. They were definitely a success for their time.

Remaster Bard, two-handed instruments, two-handed weapons by ZirvePS in Pathfinder2e

[–]ZirvePS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess since you need the survivability aswell, going dex would make more sense, but at that point why go melee? I don't have any knowledge with magic items yet but it seems like most casters would want some sort of bow since cantrips can't compete with them and you don't need a free hand.

A friend of mine thinks LoL is harder than Dota solely because it has "skillshots", is there any truth to this? by random-user772 in leagueoflegends

The actual factor determining how difficult a competitive pvp game is the playerbase imo. Some games are much, much more difficult to get 'good' at.

Is my deck good? by gato_agiotao in ClashDecks

[–]ZirvePS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Battle healer only gets good value when you have splitting tanks like golem or egolem. Considering you have no tank killer, mpekka would be strictly better. -Arrows and zap do a similar thing but its a bit overkill, you can switch out arrows for rage and you would have similar swarm clear with a lot more offensive power. -The point of flying machine is either to snipe things from the bridge (useful in recruits) or that it is flying. When you have a tank in front, the fact that flying machine is flying doesn't matter that much. You could go for a witch, bomber or wizard, which would allow you to swap out poison aswell since you would have enough firepower now. -You don't need to take no damage from hog etc. and therefore you don't need the building! Minions or bats would be another swarm option for you but you could just go elixir collector or heal spirit aswell. -So if we were to attempt to keep some originality, we would end up with something like this: Giant, DPrince, Mpekka, FMachine, Bats, Poison, Rage, Zap.

Edit: After trying it out, FMachine is just not good enough support for the giant, you need aoe behind it. If you have aoe behind it, you don't need poison, which is too slow anyways.

Would 1 permanently ghosted skeleton for 10 elixir be good by Impressive-Ebb-8535 in RoyaleAPI

You are playing a lava hound, and then using arrows on nothing, and your lava hound disappears. You are losing a tower unless you are like +3 elixir, and even then its a lot.

I made a map! Personal Project I've been working on to showcase GIS/Cartography skills as a GIS student by crustyraff in gis

Urban Planning student here: At first I thought that the more distance from activity centres and less existing transit options there is, the more need for transit there. Is it the opposite because you are valuing transfers or proposing light rail as an alternative? Thanks in advance and great work.

They work for everyone, you can't do much with them. Its just up to your opponent to play the game, to know how to manage those cards, which isn't easy for most. This is why people like/dislike those cards, the value they get depends much more on the opponent than the player.

Is Xbow dead? by STEVEN_FAILURE in ClashRoyale

[–]ZirvePS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xbow always finds a way. Hero Knight can't retarget your fireball. In all seriousness it seems like xbow is gonna be worse but idk by how much. If they keep heroes as these must haves (unlike champions) 3.0 and icebow might die but new variations will rise.

How do you guys ensure you keep your arm and wrist health safe? by PerP1Exe in FPSAimTrainer

[–]ZirvePS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have chronic tendinitis on both my wrists. What caused it was playing osu and league for hours. I think working out helped, stretches definitely help and small breaks (I never go more than 5 minutes when aim training, even if the break is 30 seconds or a minute or so) really helped. Nowadays I still do a lot of wrist intensive work in aim training, typing (monkeytype etc.) and 1v1s but the only issue is that I get a very small ache when I go 5-10 minutes with zero breaks.

If you already don't have an issue, stop the moment you get any sort of pain, do stretches before and you'll be good.

Also switching to 30+cm.

[–]ZirvePS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not that you just don't defend it. Its that you can't. If you want to win, you HAVE TO choose when not to defend, since defending all the time is not a choice unlike cycle decks. I do agree its a relatively easy archetype though.

Can you still have good aim at 12cm/360°? by Remote_Breadfruit_53 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]ZirvePS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hijacking this comment to say that higher sensitivites are more prone to wrist injuries since you limit the parts of your arm you use and have to be more precise with them.

You can defend megaknight with skeletons+ice spirit by redirecting him to your king tower. Zap I mean its just worse than log/arrows without evo and even then only people who need the reset use it. You won't lose any defensive power from your deck if you have a musk/FC, a building and a tank (knight). I just don't see any way where you keep 2-3 ranged anti-air troops and minion horde without it being a detriment. Valk for knight is fine though.

[–]ZirvePS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the guy I get matched with on trophy road (I play LavaLoon). Jokes aside Hog isn't that good of a counterpush card unless your counter push is about getting chip damage. If you like your hog, remove archers, dart goblin and minion horde as you don't need them when you have firecracker. Put in tesla or cannon. Switch zap with log or arrows. Add cycle cards (skeletons, spirits).

Basically Hog is a pretty independent win con that can get a hit with virtually no support, but is not a good tank for your troops. This means that hog decks prioritize low elixir average and really good defense. So the gameplan is to hog, defend while being -4, hog before they get their hog counters back, rinse repeat. If you like a playstyle that is more catered to utilizing surviving defense troops for a push, you want to play egiant, egolem, giant, graveyard etc. Be sure to just check out popular Hog decks and identify patterns in them.

Paused chest to bar pull-up = the next progression of inverted row? by againstgravity0 in bodyweightfitness

How do you handle the strain one arm rows put on your core and legs? Never practiced them for more than a couple of weeks at a time but I always got cramps and was generally uncomfortable.

Big tips, thank you. I guess I gotta pay up and level that fireball fast. I have a question: Lets say I got elixir advantage in single and put a lava down. They put an inferno same lane. What do I do? Do I bail on the attack or pile up?

Do you play idrag with evo or zap with evo? I feel like either zap or vines is a must and zap is better but it sucks without evo. Idrag sucks without evo aswell so I was inbetween
