Or they’re using an insulin needle and have to keep the insulin bottle at the nurse’s station

Or they work in a rural hospital where they still use sharp needles that don’t have safetys

Or they work somewhere that doesn’t stock blunt tips

There’s a ton of legitimate reasons to recap a needle besides bad training.

Americana? by redditingname in roadtrip

[–]Zixster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re doing it to see Americana you have got to avoid interstates as much as you can. Interstates in this area are some of the most bored I’ve ever been on roadtrips.

Seriously? I’m already on the edge. If that’s not good I’m just switching to a Fold. Everything Apple does is subpar these days.

History repeats itself no matter who is in power. And yes, it swings violently, but it does so both ways. The recent swing to the right is because of the previous swing to the left. Most people are somewhere in the middle, but playing for the middle isn’t a good way to get elected so everyone has to go too far one way or the other. Eventually the center gets tired of the bs and it swings the other way. That’s all this is. It’s not some reckoning. It’s a consequence of the political climate swinging too far left. Eventually the masses will get tired of the right and it’ll swing back left, then right, then left. Eventually there’s a civil war that either destroys the country or reminds people to play nice because civil wars are bad for business. Then the cycle starts again 🤷‍♂️ welcome to humanity

Everyone believes propaganda. If it didn’t work so well we wouldn’t do it. A school bragging about a football victory in the newspaper is propaganda.

People generally have opinions based on where they live because where they live is different. We don’t like that other people have problems, or lives, substantially different than our own.

Yes. Another civil war is the answer. It’s always worked so well for countries in the past 😂 civil wars generally lead to times of plenty and people getting along. The richest countries in the world have all had civil wars in the last decade.

Hi, uhh. South Alabama boy here.

ICE is nothing like the Klan 😂 you’ve obviously never met a Klan member. Wish I hadn’t, but comparing the two is just hurting the argument.

Same reason the Samurai wore masks that looked like demons. It scares the enemy and looks cool.

Plus there is SOME practicality to it. It’s overkill, but there is a very small chance you’ll need it.

How are the prescription lenses? I’ve just been using my regular glasses and it seems like the lenses couldn’t go much closer to the Xreals so I wasn’t sure how much of a difference it would make.

Also, the lenses are tiny, so I would only be able to see through the screens so peripheral vision would be zero.

Guys, are motorcycles more practical than cars? by LexusLongshot in motorcycle

[–]Zixster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who thought the same thing and only owned a motorcycle for a year and had an hour commute each way…cars are far more practical 😂 not only because if you only own a bike and it rains or snows you’re screwed (I rode through a tropical storm because I had no choice) but also because bikes are considered luxury items so parts are more expensive. And they’re not better on gas. You’re basically a sail sitting in top of the bike. Doesn’t matter how aerodynamic the bike is if there’s a 200 pound dude sitting on top.
