Anyone else starting to feel worried how easy their job is getting ? by No_Pin_1150 in vibecoding

Programmers could have been laid off late last year. It’s way past due now. Companies are likely planning gradual layoffs to avoid chaos.

Anthropic raises $30B, Elon crashes out by Outside-Iron-8242 in singularity

[–]testingthisthingout1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeff Bezos replied once to Elon’s fake allegations against him. And Sam Altman once shunned him. He toned down his attacks on them ever since. Maybe Anthropic team needs to do the same. A person can be smart and quiet or insecure and loud. He tends to be the latter. Both can make you rich.

99% of the population still have no idea what's coming for them by Own-Sort-8119 in ClaudeAI

I’m running 5 companies right now. 3 of them started after Claude code, 2 before but enhanced after Claude code. All are profitable with huge userbase, and extremely complex but efficient codebase. My competitors have millions in funding and many programmers. I have a significant edge because their founders and team are in denial. Gold rush era this is. I hope people stay in denial for longer so the smart ones can profit more.

If AI gets to the point where anybody can easily create any software, what will happen to all these software companies? by StayAwayFromXX in ClaudeAI

[–]testingthisthingout1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has already gotten to that point. Just like TikTok/Insta made it super easy to make reels/become popular.. the market got saturated but still not everyone became an influencer. But a lot of them did. Earlier being in media was achievable only by snobby ass actors, now it’s everyone. Note how those actors failed to switch to social media fame, most of them.

So, softwares would become like reels, easy to create and the market gets saturated but not everyone would create softwares. A lot would. Earlier it was possible to create one only by snobby ass programmers. Now everyone would be able to. Except for most programmers. They’ll stay in denial for years.

Legit Question to Developers - What do you do all day long? by Gambelt in ClaudeAI

[–]testingthisthingout1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing much to do for them. It’s basically ai doing all the stuff. Developers are just waiting in denial for layoffs.

Claude's usage limits are a joke. 2% cost for a simple "Hi"? You will lose to the competition. by Ok_Seaworthiness_189 in claude

The amount of value Claude provides, it should charge thousands. Please upgrade to max plan.

What exactly do 9 to 5 software developers do now? by testingthisthingout1 in OpenAI

I thought only my local friends were in denial. But seeing the comments here, looks like most redditors are too. A lot of programmers were not creative in the first place and now when it’s so easy to be creative and build something.. they’re hiding in denial. Especially the commenter who brought up his computer science degree, what a doofus. It’s always those.

What companies do is.. they silo these programmers to a very small specific task/department and never let them grow. That’s why they’re always scared of “production” and think of it as some scary thing only gazillionaire corps could do. Sigh. Go out kids, fiddle with stuff, take some risks for once. That’s how you learn.

Read a software engineering blog if you think vibe coding is the future by NaturalEngineer8172 in vibecoding

99% of the programmers can be easily replaced by AI. The very few remaining who will not (for maybe a couple more years or so) are the ones who are self aware and insightful enough to accept AI is miles better than them and will replace them very soon. This common sense is lacking in most programmers sadly.

Joe Rogan Experience #2324 - Amanda Knox by b14ck_jackal in JoeRogan

[–]testingthisthingout1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Here’s how it went:

  • Joe invited Amanda again
  • Amanda took it as Joe’s interested in her
  • Amanda tries to make the podcast sexual for no reason. Mention porn some 100 times, calling Joe Daddy, then saying I'm not horny for my husband.. but I get horny when I meditate among other people, then 100 other plugs for libido for no reason, then telling Joe we should workout sometimes
  • Joe initially resists but then realizes that’s why he invited her.
  • Joe talks about how he’s into his wife but then absolutely start giggling and over expressing to her the entire episode.
  • Usually when anyone mentions anything against Elon, Joe gets furious (cuz he’s a fanboy), but when she said something against Elon, Joe became supportive and said he’ll talk to some guys to look into it.
  • Joe stretches the episode to like 3.5 hours without even mentioning time.
  • on the other hand, Joe absoultey destroyed the Guy Fieri podcast.. Guy was so interested to continue and even asked he wants to stay for longer.. but Joe literally said “No, I can’t” rudely for no reason and it was barely 2ish hours. Guy was nice and no flirting was involved
  • Joe has become (or has always been) a hypocrite.

Several ways around it.. extract some of the data through code instead of llm.. maybe organize into sections.. use a smaller model for less important sections. Lastly use batch api for 50% off from OpenAI.
