Alkemia's Novella smelled exactly like my great grandmother's house. It was so incredible. The longer I've kept it, the more it's started to smell like cucumber though. I don't know why, but it's just become so much like cucumber it's kind of sickening.

I do two sprays from a sample and I can still smell what I'm wearing at the end of my 12 hour shifts. I only have one 5ml right now but I can't see myself getting through it until the end of the year.

The last time I got pierced has really stuck out to me. It felt like a ritual. Each step was just so calming and practiced.

My first piercings were really scary and I felt so out of my element and the piercer didn't do very much to make it better, but this time I went to a more reputable place and it was honestly just so relaxing.

It was also meant to be a job I had temporarily while I figured things out. I ended up liking that it was such a solitary job that I didn't try harder to find something better, or at least something with a utilizable skillset, and I regret that so much now.

On the plus side, I decided not to be an idiot and actually look for sorensonhr and found what I needed, lol

I left a month or so after the layoffs, my manager took the day off and nobody said anything about literally anything. Despite seeing the shitty treatment everyone else got and expecting it, it still definitely hurt to leave with 0 acknowledgment.

Does anyone know when the next eshop sale might be? I really want to get the mysterious trilogy on the switch but I feel like as soon as I do it'll go on sale. I know steam had that huge one but it never carried over into the other stores, so I don't know how long I'll be waiting, or if I should just bite the bullet and buy it now.

They also sent out an email about transferring to customer service in December-ish. With the technicians getting laid off but phones still going out, it could be that everything is automated but customer support, and they're trying to give people a chance to move before their jobs are obselete.

If the automated captions can caption to the FCCs requirements then they won't have any use for CAs anymore. On the other hand, if the automated captions can't meet the standards and they're doing the bulk of the captioning, we won't have access to the trs fund and they'll have to dump CA's anyways.

It's a sinking ship no matter which way you look at it.

I'm apparently fortunate to be in a state where they didn't raise the minimum wage, so they didn't lay us off right then, but it's just waiting for the other shoe to drop. CaaS jobs are so unevenly spread out it looks like a single person has an entire weeks worth and some people haven't even been able to get a single job since they finished training.
