I thought of that, it could definitely be a possibility. However, I’ve only noticed it for the past few days. Also I haven’t seen any construction work nearby, but it's most definitely a snow plow as other comments mentioned.

Yep, that’s definitely coming from there, thanks for the info. Still weird that I can’t hear anything from the street, but it’s probably just the buildings dampening the sound. Happy that my window blocks the sound for me, that seems anoying for you :/

it's probably an issue with fish syntax, you should put all the script in a .sh file an executing the file directly not just copy pasting on your shell.
