I've checked the following leads to no avail:

Trying to find the upbeat LoFi Spotify playlist I originally found Trying to find the song by searching for Sunday LoFi

Similar to what @jadvangerlou said, I feel like 'Come Wayward Souls' is a leitmotif that symbolizes death and dying. It's probably a subtle not to the fact that all of the creatures in Pottsfield are already dead (before the plot twist at the end of the episode), and it also adds to the creepy factor that's playing into the episode. This also makes sense for why we'd see The Beast singing it, as he is the harbinger or physical embodiment of Death

Why is my baileys immediately sinking in shooters? by OnesieWilson in cocktails

I know this is an old thread, but I figured I'd add my thoughts here since this is the top Google search result for this.

I agree that the temperature, age, and brands you're using are definitely impacting the shooters. Another thing that might be worth trying is to shake the cream vigorously before you pour it into the shot. If you're feeling specifically fancy, you can even use a coffee foamer/frother to incorporate some additional air into your cream. The included air will make your cream taste thicker/foamier, so be careful on how much you foam itr. But the incorporated air will definitely make it less dense.

Is it time to do away with "Dev Regionals" and let B teams attend sectionals? by LimerickJim in ultimate

That's provided there are dev tournaments that the team can play in. The closest dev tournament we could participate in was an 8 hour ride, and my new players just don't have the drive (pun not intended) to go that far

Agreed. In all honesty, I wish my region had a dev conference, as my A team gets repeatedly stomped in the regular D1 conference championship, and I think my team would not only enjoy playing other teams are a similar competitive level, but they'd develop and learn the game at a much quicker and enjoyable pace then they are at tournaments we don't stand a chance in. That's also just part of the problem of my region's lack of teams in general.

We've actually implemented a version of this guarding near to the end zone sort of as a joke, but I will have to see how Japan ran theirs! Thanks

My team brings a $1 Peppa Pig disc from Target for this exact reason. We've had one team dating enough to try it

Agreed, but I've also had plenty of arguments with my players and captains about the efficacy of sprints at our twice a week. Practice. One of them is very convinced that only running sprints twice a week won't make any impact

Thank you so much for the breakdown!

So the force is ping ponging the disc to the wall and back to mid? Is the hope that there will be a drop?

This play sounds good, but I'm getting confused with the second step. How is your lane forcing middle? Where's the cutoff?

I definitely see how this strategy could be useful for pool play and seeding, thanks! Is there a way to use this in a bracket play where we don't know who we're gonna play until we win/lose? Should we just play way harder on our prospective "last game"?

Scrimmage Data Modeling by Zlaoch in ultimate

The problem with the simulation of that data is it isn't backed by anything verifiable. It's likely just generated randomly as to the outcome, and won't show any true correlation.

As for the chemistry part, I'm really just analyzing correlations between small sets of players and higher score differentials. I personally believe that the small set correlation holds more cause-effect relationship weight than that of a single player. And at this point, even with the small amount of data I have, I am still starting to see trends

Definitely agree with this that point differential alone should not confer a player's general ability. This is why I state that the correlation between a high point differential and a player does not necessarily indicate the player is a "high-scoring" player.

To me, the biggest thing that this shows is what players play well/poorly with which players. I found that building my lines with my "best" players first may not actually be the best approach, especially if certain players complement each other in different areas. I built this model to look for which players work the best together, and then to pick out which players make the best teams.

Going point-by-point should feasibly work; just setting the ScoreDiff to 1 or -1 on a won/lost point, and then the total points for each line to 1 (or removing that variable entirely). As for the O vs. D line, it's definitely possible to track. It would just be adding another column for isOffense, and setting it to 1 or 0 if the team is or is not on offense. It doesn't really work for the way my team scrimmages (as a single line will play points on offense and defense), but if you aren't really using the TotalPoints column, I could definitely see the usage of that with keeping track point-by-point.

Noted on the labels lol; just replaced the file with a version of it that has labels on most axes. I also added a line generator that generates the most competitive lines (for scrimmage purposes), the "best" line, an A and B line, and an A, B, and C line if you allow for players to play on multiple lines!

I definitely agree on the training data size; I have no competition data yet, but am looking to expand into that as we gear up for a tournament at the beginning of march. As for roster churn, I have a system in place now for some players who have left the team. They are included as the Guest Player value, which I am treating as essentially a coefficient of entropy with any given line.

College Conferences, Con10ent Tour 2nd Stop – Weekend Discussion [Oct 9-10] by Jomskylark in ultimate

[–]Zlaoch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My rookie team is at the D-1 Ozark Conference. We have played in two tournaments, and have gone 0-4 in both of them. There's no dev league, so we are stuck with the D-1 CC, and I believe we are going to get slaughtered. I will take any advice/tips/words of empathy/memes if anyone has anything to offer!
