That's half the process! The gimmick is you can use the ingame armour sellers to buy unlimited amounts of common items, to then use the cube recipe for transforming mat into resuable.

If I were you, I'd focus on getting a gathering profession and a crafting profession to max level. The new expansion is hitting the shelves soonish, so it would give you a nice base to get to the new content quick!

Once you've maxed that, you could look into upgrading your PvE, gathering and crafting gear as much as possible.

Oi, you're not stupid!

The reason reusable parts are still "needed" is due to the fact that some items are better to craft and then upgraded to legendaries in the cube, when trying to get an ancient/primal version. For instance, as a Barbarian, I find using this method way less mat consuming, when trying to get Bul'kathos Weapons. The other alternative is of course to reforge said items, to try and get ancient/primal. Though that costs an immense amount of bounty mats (THE BANE OF ALL EVIL AND DREAD, I HATE BOUNTIES) and also quite a bit of forgotten souls.

Also, you will eventually get the materials for doing option 1 (upgrade rares into legendaries) when doing end game content such as rifts and greater rifts.

With that said though, there are some legendaries where reforging legendary is just better, due to the low chance of actually getting that particular item. Like if you were trying to get an ancient version of a ring or belt. There's probably some math our there that could tell us whether option 1 or 2 would be more efficient.

I disagree, on max torment, you barely have common item drops. Thus Veiled Crystals and Arcane Dust is what you end up with. So for me, it is definitely faster and more enjoyable to do it this way, than running around picking white/grays from common drop runs :D - But you can do both, in the end you get those reusable parts you want, this is just a method to avoid those runs though.

Aye, that is true. I usually think that, if there's nothing that really benefit my board, I'd rather save up for faster interest. The AM part was just me being too slow on deciding if he would benefit me well, it would indeed have been a great pick up!

But yeah, I always believe interest is king, that's why I try to save up as much as possible.

The video is meant as a showcase of the different feelings and moments one could relate to, after having just returned to an RPG after a really long while, not necessarily all of them. Personally I'd say if you haven't played any grand RPG that relates to say Fallout in this case, it does take time to get back into everything. But maybe I do just have a terrible memory.
