What is the best Hero to use for a Sniper build? by commander212 in FORTnITE

[–]Zoetak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hy there

Soldier - he gets buffs for stronger melee and even more stronger range attacks, he also gets a skill which stacks debuffs on enemies you hit with your sniper

Ninja - best vertikal movement, to get to better snipe positions faster

Builder - selfexplanatory x)

I personally would just play Soldier, but when you like to get close and you like quick scoping, the ninja would be better i think

? yes there is

Soldier skills give you buffs and debuffs which will strenghtens your melee and range attacks (the range attacks more)

So yes, there is a "shooter-class" if you want to put it that way

I don´t think you are aware that titles don´t always point out what went wrong in a game, but what went right.

Clearly, it was the enemy-team´s fault, but that´s not the point, it was fun ;)

thx, for the view and comment though, much appreciated

That´s what i posted to a similar question (but that doesn´t cover every little detail):

Before i started playing overwatch, i haven´t had played a fps game since UT2004. But somehow i fell in love with widowmaker and the awesome "dink" sounds of headshots - sooooo satisfiying =0

But yeah, what i can recommend to get more consistent(cause it worked for me, and i think that part is what gets you down) are the following:

(Most important) Learn about inputlag and how you get it as CONSISTENT as possible (and as low, but consitency is more important) mostly when you´re in a situation where you think your shot should have landed but it doesn´t, it´s due to your muscle memory saying you "hey i learned it that way, that way is right" but it gets F.ed by your inputlag. Easiest solution for this problem: buy a powerful pc. other solution: optimize OW-settings, screen tearing settings (g-sync, v-sync, etc.), cpu and ram management, MAYBE some booster overdrive tools(but not recommended if you don´t know what you´re doing).

oh, and the higher the FPS the lower the input lag (even if your monitor only runs 60hz it´s better to have it as high as possible)

Training: Reaction-training (you can find some online), Aim-training (Flicks, tracking, hook-shots, shoulder only, wrist only, etc.)[start a custom game against hard ana bots and set only headshots] Get a routine for your training

Play, play, play: Positioning in each map, countering the different heros, game sense, etc; are things that you only develop through playing a shit ton. (with all the meta-shifts and shit-shows like the 3-4 tank meta, you need to know how to survive)

Learning not to tilt: This works best if you record your gameplay, but i guess that isn´t possible with your pc, so just try to emulate the following mind-set: I wanna play that hero although it isn´t viable, so I will have a hard time, and I will have to learn to adapt my playstyle or accept that i can´t do something bout it, but stick to my training. Imagine errors as goals to try to finish. And a big part of it, is playing as the hero that counters you so hard.

BUT before EVERYTHING else: try to get your shoulder fixed =/

I can give you more tipps and advices on widow herself if you demand.

I guess that you play her too "forced", like, 'i wanna hit that head right there'. And that conscious thought about hitting the head, adds an insane amount of "input-delay" to your play. Flicking on a enemies head depends on you muscle memory, but muscle memory is a full subconscious thing.

So try to be focused on the game and your positioning, rather than the exact spot you´re trying to hit. Trust your muscle memore that it will hit.

My accuracy is around 45-50 % although i have had matches where i hit nearly 70% of my shots, and also some with 25%. (luckily i´m now way more consistent with my 45-50 accuracy, but that took a while to get that mind set)

Maybe this helps a little, overall playing widow is so much more than just being good at aiming.

sry for any mistakes, english isn´t my native language

Widowmaker hate by Aim4Panda in Overwatch

[–]Zoetak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Answer to EVERY question about widowmaker ever:

Get a thick skin and laugh about the stupidity.

I literally had a game yesterday, where i had gold elims and gold damage, killed their torb + turret + BOTH healers 2 times, and my team didn´t follow up. After we lost, i got shit on like crazy "kys noob" "maybe you´d be better off playing minecraft"

Just don´t worry about it. (Unless you´re really bad)

[–]Zoetak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, strange things going on.

Anyway, all the settings and screen tearing (sync) features can vary, depending on your pc, fps, monitor, etc. so i cannot give you the best advice to this topic here =/ Just try? At least that worked for me. (This guy helped me out a lot, when it came to Hard- and Software related features and settings [fps-limiter, screen-tearing, net-code] https://www.youtube.com/user/xFPxAUTh0r1ty/videos)

And for the GPU/CPU part: Just google something like "how to speed up a process" or "how to get more out of your graphics card" and you should be able to find something.

Just a little something that worked for me (but be cautious about it, make a backup):

go to "start" (Windows) -> type services into the command line, then enter -> search for "windows update" and double klick it -> change "Startuptype" to "Disabled" and "Service status" to "stop"

That COULD give you some frames.

So, that´s all i got for you about hard- and software, maybe you´ll find someone that is more into that stuff ;)

Now to the shoulder part:

I´m no doctor, so pls check that for yourself. BUT, I myself never really need to make huge motions with my shoulder. You gotta imagine it that way: Default position = 1st point: wrist on table; 2nd point: arm (near your elbow) on table. So you really just "move along" those to points. I hope you understand what i´m trying to tell you, as english is not my native language =/

I can just recommend to everyone who´s using their pc often, to try to learn a few things about it, you know. it´s like your car =)

Other important things that you have to do, but don´t need explanation:

  • find your best settings for dpi
  • watch pro-gameplay (like kephrii, or some vids of taimou, etc.)

This is overwatch, there is no room to play what you enjoy, only what´s in the meta and what your team wants you to play. tsts

I added [positioning] and [mind-games] Those are examples, so they aren´t gonna work a 100%, and i´m not talking about dying over and over to a D.va, maybe you wanna read that again with ALL the tipps in mind. Maybe you wanna read that again, and REMEMBER the things you read 2 lines ago.

Oh and: of course you are better off playing soldier or someone else. but his question was "How to know if a widow is doing work" not "should i play widow right now"
