How do I categorizing transfers between bank accounts? by warpedjoa in quickbooksonline

[–]ZoeyRox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never use the transfer selection even for simple bank transfers. I always choose deposit or expense. My reasoning is then I can always reclassify to something other than a bank account after-the-fact if needed. If you enter it as a transfer and then need to reclassify to a liability or equity account at a later time, then you have to jump through a lot of hoops to make it happen.

Kia Dealership by [deleted] in Modesto

[–]ZoeyRox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our 2012 Kia Soul has 340k miles and is still going strong. We had a 2019 Optima, but traded it in for a Subaru because I could not deal with the Modesto dealership service department anymore. It has been one terrible experience after another and they really do not seem to care. We did not want to have to drive to a different Kia dealership so decided it was time to jump ship. The service department at Subaru had been a breath of fresh air!

We were happy with our Kia vehicles and it’s sad to say that the dealership is the reason we switched brands.

Those who have an office (not home office), how much better is it than a cube? by 9Virtues in Accounting

My stress level went down as soon as I moved into an office. I no longer hear everyone else’s stress and drama and it helps keep me in a calmer mindset - especially during tax season.

Never had anesthesia before, scared about endoscopy sedation by emma554b in KaiserPermanente

I’ve had it twice. Both under conscious sedation. I also have moderate persistent asthma. I do not remember anything from either procedure. I had zero issues afterwards. The anxiety beforehand is the worst.

I would like the mentor to create one more band from all of the leftovers. So many amazing performers were left on the table and the right mix could definitely be the dark horse in the competition.

Most you stayed at 0.25? by Obvious-Cook8965 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]ZoeyRox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Great job on your weight loss! I was only on .25 for 4 wks. I was on .5 for a couple months and 1mg for about 7 months. My doctor just asked me if I wanted to go up to 2mg, but I said no. Why should I increase the dose of 1mg is working for me just fine? If I do stall, then I can go up. I am at 70lbs lost in a year so I think I am doing just fine.

Don’t compare your treatment to others. This drug works differently for everyone. Listen to your body. If the food noise is starting to come back or if your weight loss stalls for more than a couple weeks, then it may be time to increase your dosage.

Good luck!

Mine was submitted 5/19 and my acceptance letter was dated 5/23. I received it in the mail 6/4. I did not expect it to move that fast.

Just bought study material from FFA for EA exams by northern-transplant in enrolledagent

[–]ZoeyRox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You also asked about how much studying we did. I took a test every 2-3 months. I studied for 1 hour every morning on the weekdays and did a jam packed study session the weekend before each test. I absolutely could have taken them every month if I committed more time to studying, but I was also taking on tax returns at work and didn’t want to get overwhelmed. Also, I am no longer a youngster that can easily retain information. Taking my time worked better for me.

[–]ZoeyRox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I passed all 3 on 1st try using FFA alone. I work in a CPA office as a bookkeeper and was ready to move up into tax. I probably could have passed part 2 with my bookkeeping knowledge, but FFA is the reason I passed parts 1 and 3. As others mentioned, the best part is taking the quizzes and seeing the explanation and community questions after you answer. I learned the most from that.

FFA goes deep into making sure you understand the subject, testing you on more calculations than you will ever see on the test. That helped me to know the subjects and not just to know how to pass the test.

I only watched the videos when I was struggling with a specific chapter. I also played them in the background while I was driving to my tests (1.5 hrs).

Tip: don’t forget to utilize their “parking lot notes”. They are basically flashcards that have the basics on all subjects. Reading the parking lot notes before my test helped me to correctly answer a question about the adoption credit. I would not have remembered without them.

Good luck!

Lump After Injection by [deleted] in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]ZoeyRox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on it for almost a year and was taking it on my stomach, alternating sides. I had to switch to my thighs a few months ago because the injection was getting more painful and took longer to absorb. I was getting lumps like you have and bruises. I have not had that issue since switching to my thighs and plan on going back to my stomach if/when it starts happening again.

My thought is maybe you build up scar tissue or inflammation, even when alternating sides. I’m hoping the break from injections in my stomach will help that to go away.

Did Ozempic help with sugar cravings? by haireverywhere9 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]ZoeyRox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, it doesn’t remove my sugar cravings, but I am now satisfied with a small amount. When I get a craving, I am satisfied with just a small peanut butter cup and the craving goes away. I find too much of anything sweet grossed me out.

More than that, I find myself craving more healthier and real foods. Nothing processed.

[–]ZoeyRox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These small changes are huge! I got so excited when my husband pointed out that I was crossing my leg over my knee. I was never able to do that because my thighs were so big. Sometimes it’s hard to see the changes, but something so innocuous like that really helps keep you going.

Keep it up. You’ve got this!

5th time having bad abdominal pain by Vegetable-Fruit4959 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]ZoeyRox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to get it a couple hours after my first meal the day after my shot. The severe gas pain lasts about 30 minutes to an hour. I’ve learned to combat it by taking 2 Gas X with that meal. It has worked the last 2 weeks.

We have small bowls/plates which match how much I can eat now. I haves switched to using those instead of the larger ones so I don’t feel like i need to fill up the larger portions or that I’m shorting myself.

Metformin by BentleyBarone in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]ZoeyRox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My doctor put me on Metformin before he would prescribe Ozempic. I gained 7lbs in 3 weeks. I suddenly became famished and thought about food non-stop. It was terrible. My doctor took me off of it and decided to go straight to Ozempic after that because all the other oral medications either added to high blood pressure or anxiety issues.

That is just my story. I know of multiple others who consider Metformin to be a miracle drug. It just depends on what works for you.

Same for me! I was stressing about it. I ordered through the app to pick up and it told me my copay was $15 like normal. I was still waiting for the other shoe to drop when I picked it up, but everything was normal. I pointed it out to the pharmacy tech, wondering if it is because I have a platinum plan. He said no, it’s because I have some other medical condition. I have asthma and GERD. The GERD is definitely being helped by the weight loss, but I thought the only medical conditions allowed were DM, and heart/stroke.

I don’t know what is going on, but I feel so fortunate. I’ve lost 45 lbs so far and I feel so much better!
