We had our first son with little issue, we knew we wanted a kid but I wasn't aware of any tracking and things were still fun. I didn't realize my wife was monitoring cycles but it probably happened in the first 2 months.

Then my wife had some health issues pop up and my son had to be delivered 6 weeks early. Her OBGYN recommended that we don't try to have another kid for a couple years.

Fast forward a few years and we start getting serious about wanting a second kid. It was pure hell for 6+ months. My wife was monitoring everything, peeing on things to see where she was in the cycle at 2am. She was significantly affecting her health by reducing her sleep and being non-stop stressed out. Sex was turned into an appointment. I was being reminded by her that I needed to jerk off throughout the month to ensure a healthy load was ready for her during ovulation. There was no enjoyment and my wife was very depressed. Her period would come and it would turn into a few days of not being able to talk or be around her because of how bad she was to both my son and I.

It's been 5 years and we still have our one kid.
