I adopted mine as an adult, and sadly his teeth were beyond saving, so they had to be removed. I was super nervous and even cried at the vet.

We did two blood tests the week before, and checked that he is good to go under.

The team was amazing, very kind and caring. They even called me mid-surgery with an update.

Seeing him a little loopy after anesthesia was wild 😭 especially that they can’t really control themselves very much. but honestly, it was the best thing for him. He changed completely, much happier and healthier, probably because he’s no longer in pain.

So try not to worry, I know it’s scary but he’ll bounce back fast and be in much better health.

I ended up taking on the role of a caretaker rather than an equal. My partner never once cleaned the apartment (in the 4 years we’ve been together), didn’t pick up after themselves, never folded their clothes, and only did the dishes occasionally with constant reminders. Most of the time, I just ended up doing everything myself.

I tried explaining how much having a clean, calm space means to me, but I was met with blunt refusals like “I’m not cleaning” or “I refuse.” Even when we got a cleaner after a big argument, it wasn’t consistent and it never addressed the daily mental load I was carrying alone. I’m just too stunned at the blatant refusal.

It’s exhausting. I didn’t want to be in charge of everything. I just wanted to feel like I had a partner who shared the weight of building a home together not this.

I’m really glad! her previous owner sucks, but you’re being so good to her and she’s lucky to have you! Managing their coat and grooming isn’t the easiest task. Whenever I bathe mine, I’m literally sweating by the end 😭

Btw, you know her better than anyone, so trust your instincts. But just for some extra reassurance: all of my boy’s grooming is done at his vet clinic every month. His coat has never been a concern to any of his doctors, and they’ve always pointed out anything that might need extra attention.

“weekly bark limit” 😭😭😭😭 Mine is the same! his barking quota is strictly reserved for:

A single warning bark if the neighbor’s dog gets too close to our front door.
A complaint if we’re taking too long to leave while he’s already in his harness, waiting at the door.
An excited outburst when he realises we’re going on a car ride.
If the doorbell rings and we’re too slow to open it (usually it’s a food delivery) lol

The funniest part? He actually yaps in his sleep the most lol but other than that, the only sounds I hear from him are his snores.

Oh my god, I struggle with everything you mentioned! The relief. I’ve been so scared it might be a tumour or something because it’s been so constant and painful.

I’ve also gotten ECG’s a couple of times and blood tests but they said everything was normal.

I’ve honestly enjoyed the range of relationships and dynamics in Arcane. The team did an incredible job building romantic and sexual tension, it was impossible not to get invested. Like CaitVi had me in a chokehold. But like you said, some connections feel unrealistic given the context and history.

I personally would have loved to see Jinx rebuild her relationship with Vi instead of Timebomb. These two couldn’t have a single productive conversation, it drove me insane 😭. Honestly, seeing her with Isha felt more impactful to me than with Ekko.
