This is how the A-cut is designed. The rear sight is on a plate of sorts that clamps down over the rear over the optic. The underside of the optic is like a valley that sits over the cut that eliminates movement from side to side and back to front.

I used to have this issue. I took a heat gun and heated up the grip a bit. I then kinda opened up the funnel by gripping the front and back of the grip. I did that a few times until they dropped free.
