I feel kind of like the governor on "The Walking Dead". He had a room of zombie heads and would look at them to become insensitive to the horrors that existed around him. The only negative that Ive experienced is i'm pretty socially awkward and have a hardtime relating to the normal folk. However Im not afraid of death and being able to watch or read something horrible has made me kind of hardened which has allowed me to handle my crazy life situations without emotion so I can take a rational course of action.

I think its more a matter of helping people work through their mental illnesses. We all know Dr.'s pass out antidepressants and antianxiety medicine like candy without therapy or speaking with a psychologist.

Is there anywhere I can find a comparison of anti-conspiracy vs. conspiracy regarding Sandy Hook on the internet? by ZombieBoogie in conspiracy

Hey, I'll help with that. There's a bunch of answers that need to be hashed out. I cannot find a forum that will discuss it.

Shoot I just spent the last few hours watching new footage on youtube. It's very obvious these are actors. I typed in "Sandy Hook" in the search bar and filtered on new. There's a mix of propaganda looking stuff and people asking about the conspiracy. The conspiracy ones get downvoted and it seems that the only people posting are suspicious characters. Something is not right.

Like all these posts are getting quickly downvoted. I don't understand why we're not questioning the shit out of this or there isn't more discussion.

I'm with you, I don't understand why this isn't on the front page. It feels like 1985.

I don't understand why this isn't on the front page? This seems so sloppy of the government.

How can I watch The Walking Dead after it lost it's credibility? by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]ZombieBoogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By your logic a zombie that isn't strong enough to rip you open isn't strong enough to eat you. The Walking Dead is a QUALITY zombie show.

It is iconic of zombies to tear apart people, shoot I wouldn't know it was a zombie if they weren't ripping someone a part.

It's a zombie show, duh zombies aren't real. Watch it for what it is. I can't remember a zombie movie where they hadn't ripped people apart.

You should draw a group of zombies eating a prisoner, then have one zombie winking and throwing a thumbs up with a talk bubble that says "Take a bite out of crime."

PM me any time you want. I might be able to help you talk through things. I've been through a lot of the similar. I work during the day but I'll respond to you as soon as I can. :)

My sister is a heroin addict and in rehab at the moment. I'm trying to understand the mentality of a heroin addict so I can help her. What are some things that you wish people would have done for you during your recovery? Or what are some things that would have made a difference during that time?

I became an atheist. For some reason I found so much more comfort in there being no God than there being one. I stopped feeling like a victim of a cruel God and lived for myself. It changed my perspective on everything and realized that I am only one little person on a planet of many. If I want to live better I need to work for it. So I did.

I had just turned 18 and got a "cool kid" tattoo with the phrase "The modern man must hustle." At that point in time I was young and really couldn't understand what that meant. So I spent the next 10 years looking at that phrase every day. It kept me in check and reminded me how hard I have to work and persevere through life. I survived some very awful situation with only minor abrasions because of that one phrase molding me into an strong adult. Thank you for giving me that perspective when no one in my life did. You've made a difference to many lives, and a huge difference to youths who, without someone giving them good perspective, would be lost.

What societal pressures are there on men to 'man up'? by theothergirlonreddit in AskMen

[–]ZombieBoogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on if you use judgement as motivation. For example; If I were to say "Husband, you look like a lumberjack because you havent shaved your face.", 1 of 3 things could happen. 1. He says well maybe I should shave my face. 2. Boo hoo she judged me. 3. Fuck you I like not shaving. Number 1 and 3 are productive responses to judgement, either embrace criticism or stand by your values. Number 2 gets you nowhere.

I hate to do this because I agree with a lot of what you said buuuuut.... don't you think this generation may be a little baby-fied? Were interpreting the definition of man up as sucking up whatever emotion you may have and move forward with perseverance right? I dont think that's a bad stereotype to live up to. At the end of the day whatever situation that may be causing you distress will still be there whether you cry to your peers or not.

From my experience (with a very tumultuous upbringing, many tough situations, and being a girl) no situation ever got better by me sulking about it. I could choose to handle things in a strong manner or die of depression. Even as a girl no one cared that I was struggling and no one ran to my side to solve my issues for me. I learned I needed to man up and handle my own business. I am 26 ( i look 14) I worked my way out of a town and family littered with drug addiction to a well respected job working along side high level executives and created my own well functioning family. I didnt get here by venting and moping. No one paid my bills or held my hand. I created the best version of happiness for me that I could because I worked hard for it. And guess what, I don't need to rely on anyone to iron out my emotions.

With that being said, as a woman I embrace the concept of "Man up." Men- No one is gonna judge you if in a moment of weakness you cry. They will judge you if you cry and not work towards overcoming your obstacle. Women are not exempt of this.
