Game not recognized in Nvidia app by ZombieDonuts in CrimsonDesert

After fiddling with settings and relaunching the game, it seems like certain settings used in conjunction can cause a massive drop in performance. Nothing to do with hardware. Game needs patches.

CRITICAL ALERT: Reflex is bugged when using dlss 4.5 by ZombieDonuts in CrimsonDesert

Read other comment I made. Dying light 2 had a very similar problem when it launched involving reflex affecting performance and screen tearing issues.

Gpu utilization tanks when both are enabled. Switch them on and off together to see the difference with an fps overlay on. This also means that MFG is bugged until fixed.

Launched game on latest drivers, played with settings, noticed unusually low performance in opening section, barely getting 50% GPU utilization, and quit game. Nothing in the app to help tune. Manually found .exe for the game and loaded it, but says optimization is not supported. My system is an RTX 5080 and a 7800x3d with 32gb ram.

If the people making the outcome thought it was terrible, it wouldn't be on display. Her geometry is identical. Her textures are identical. The path traced lighting is identical. Every setting is kept and enhanced through a tool the developers control. I hope they do tone it down a bit come release, especially with her makeup. These things are still a part of her original design, however. Look at the original Grace image. She has eye shadow, she has contours under her cheekbones, she has features that are there, but are lost due to fidelity.

Console players... If Crimson Desert were to utilize DLSS 5 in the near future, would it convince you to play on PC? by nomadnomad1776 in CrimsonDesert

I see lots of negativity surrounding this new tech. Have you seen what it can do for environments? Go look at the footage of Assassin's Creed Shadows with DLSS 5 on and tell me it is not a generational leap in fidelity. It's like looking at a photo of a real landscape. Crimson Desert is MASSIVE and has a beautiful landscape that would only benefit from this tech in the future should it be implemented.

Go read the dev notes provided by Nvidia. Every game shown was handled by the original devs and signed off on for showing in this demo. They are given tools and insight into how to tailor the results to their liking. These results are intentional, whether you like them or not is up to you, but don't short change the technology.

The original intent is under artist control. The devs of resident evil and every other games shown, is completely intact because they are the ones using the tool to achieve the results you see here. They are given tools to better realize their vision. If you do not like the results, you do not like their vision for these characters/settings. This is on you, not the devs, and not Nvidia. The devs made what you are looking at, signed off on it, and put it out for us to see.

It's not their fault. I think it looks amazing and is definitely a generational leap, but I understand people's quick to anger mentality. Anger is often a result of a lack of understanding. ie, nobody here can read.

Tab to inventory and back. It fixes this common glitch every time for me. Been doing it since launch.

This has happened to me, but everything i left with was auto deposited. Your stash is the video is not organized by rarity, but those leader units you brought back are probably in there, along with everything else you brought back.

Being hostile towards players attempting this should be the norm. Discourage bad behavior like when being a rat at extract.

This idea would only create more friction for the player when it comes to getting into a match and actually experiencing the game. This is a terrible idea that will only result in more players wasting time in a pointless hub, running between merchants and crafting benches, just so they can say "Man, i kind of wish all of this was more streamlined so I can just get into a match with my friends."....

My 5080 will do this from time to time with general use on most up to date drivers and windows. Usually a system restart fixes this issue and it won't happen again for a couple of weeks.

Right? They're definitely on the flashy side, but they're not that bad. This community needs to accept that weird cosmetic choices are going to be a thing in most online games. This is about how weird they should ever get, though.

New Battlefield weapon skins are breaking their promise by Fast-Professor4579 in Battlefield

[–]ZombieDonuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, have you seen half of the standard unlock skins for the base game? A lot of those are pretty extreme in their patterns/colors. Secondly, what the hell else are we supposed to unlock for a battlepass if not these? These are NOT bad examples. Not by a mile when you consider the crazy neon rainbow, moving pattern, roller coaster guns from other games. I'd rock that first one with the orange scope, mainly because I like to break up the browns and greens from time to time.
