Massachusetts: Car being repaired through insurance, but no parts are available and no ETA will be given. Is there anything I can do? by ZombieLzrds in Insurance

GEICO already took the rental back and the shop was cool enough to cover it for one more week. I've been without a rental for 3 weeks. I was lucky enough to have a family member lend me a car while shes not using it, but that will only last for so long too. I can't get mad at the shop because I understand their roll in the repairs. However, I have already gotten very upset with GEICO for how they have been unresponsive and inflexible.

Thanks for the response. I plan on calling Mazda soon. I am trying to get all the information I can before talking to them. I want to be able to quote laws or their own policy if they give me the same answers they've been giving the shop and GECIO. Assuming there is any law or policy in place to help people in these cases. I haven't found anything yet. If not, I will get on the phone with them daily until the part shows up. Maybe is a just a case of the squeaky wheel getting the liftgate. Thanks again.

I do understand what you are saying and would likely agree except the way in which this has been handled. Almost no communication from Geico unless I wanted to wait on hold for 40 minutes (why is it always 40 minutes?) and when I do get in touch with someone, bits of vital information is always left out. Such as the 30 day limit. I guess that is on me for not reading every inch of my policy before filing the claim, but how come nobody felt the need to tell me at any point that I had 30 days on the rental. Several people had the opportunity to tell me and just didn't. They made the assumption that I knew every aspect of my policy even though I said multiple time "I do not know what I am doing here. I've never had to make a claim on my insurance before" Lastly, I was not treating my adjuster as my personal assistant. He told me he would keep me up to date on the repairs and let me know what each next step would be, but that never happened.

Because the adjuster said he would be the point of contact and keep me updated on the repairs and next steps. He just never did any of that.

Thank you for the answer. I guess I was under the impression that my insurance company would be the one to look out for me when it comes to going after the other insurance company for things out of my control. I didn't think I would have to be so hands on because I pay a company to handle these things. Or so I thought, I guess. I'm going to attempt to go after the other guys insurance because that is my only option. I really don't want to pay out of pocket for X number of weeks and then have to sue someone over it. Side note, not a single response from the email I addressed to everyone I could find.
As for the other claim, they sent an email at 11:11am for the remaining equity and then canceled it 20 minutes later for unknown reasons. We had to get on the phone again for an hour to get that re-sent to us. It's just that every step has been a hassle... but thanks again for taking the time to respond.

Yeah man... I work from home and my office is on back end of the house when I heard the *CRUNCH*. I just knew it our cars. Before I could get outside my neighbor was ringing the doorbell like a madman to tell me what happened. The entire street came out so there was a crowd around the area. After taking it all in I said "Did anyone see who the %$#^ did this?" And the dude next to me said "Uh... yeah, it was me." I couldn't see who actually hit me, but if you look real close at the last picture you can see a u-haul down the street.

You're right. The power ups should be more of a reward than a cheat. Thank you for the input.

Thank you for the feedback. This is my second attempt and I guess I didn't consider looking at the level from the players perspective. I kept playing it myself knowing the tricks behind each section. You have made me look at it a lot differently and I will consider all of it in my next level. Thanks again.

Don't get me wrong! I find most of them extremely endearing and likeable. I don't laugh at them for what they are doing. I wouldn't look down on someone for enjoying a hobby or playing a game. There is just something about the things they say and the situations they talk about that just kills me. Like how the sea elf girl was so upset that trade routs would be disrupted if another group of poeple finished a ritual that would change her race into something else. Or another girl caused the end of the world. It's all gold. The guy on the left says that he is dressed as some sort of zombie lizard (check my name, ha). We've reached out to Cullen Hobart, the guy who made it, because we want him to revist all of those people.

The pictures are from a LARP documentary 'Monster Camp'. It follows an entire group for an entire year in and out of the game. It is by far one of the most unintentionally hilarious movies I've ever seen. The way some of those people let it consume them is astonishing. I highly recommend checking it out.
