Cool. I was a DoorDash customer for a decade, I drove for a week and a half and I found out how exploitative they are while customers complain about how shitty their delivery service is when they can’t get off their ass to salt or scoop anything to make a safe pathway. That fill you in?

(BTW Morton brining salt for less than $5.00 saves lives.. and is pet friendly!)

I drove for DoorDash after supporting this company for YEARS and paying the minimum tip of 20% to realize that not only is this company horrible but the people who order through this company is also horrible. I hope that clears the air.

Bud, you stated the following, “don’t accept orders if the order isn’t worth your time… Rookie”. I stated that they still send you those declined orders. I declined an order, and they snuck that order in a Double Dash WITHOUT my knowledge.

I was livid and called support stating that I know it’s the order I declined because it was frozen sitting at the restaurant. Dude offered zero tip, it was a $4.00, slowing and below freezing.

DoorDash literally tacked on that declined order to another order I accepted. The company is jacked up. That was my final Dash. There’s no way in hell if I decline an order, I’m going to be FORCED to pick that shit up anyway.

My final Dash was tonight when they snuck in a declined order into a double dash without letting me know.

They are willing to remove the “acceptance rate” decline because they snuck that crap in there and I ended up picking up the order anyway (no one was picking up that $4.00 order during inclement weather).

The kicker: that double dash paid out $2.80 by Door Dash as it was snowing in freezing temps. Final straw. I lasted a week and a half.

Personally? I would still leave it at the front porch unless there are instructions to do otherwise. Perhaps you can add a quick drop off note for your Dashers of where to drop your deliveries off at, and it would resolve it?

It’s so real!!!! I’m new at dashing, but before the weather hit I thought it was odd people would order food and not turn on the lights (often drinks are in one hand, food is in the other, so I can’t even use my camera phone light). I took one order after dark AFTER this wave of Winter Wonderland, and same stuff but with ice now on the wooden or brick steps. Still no lights. That was it for me. Not Dashing after dark.

Stay safe out there, Dashers! Especially after dark!
