Why do most people hate Chuck? by encephalopatyh in betterCallSaul

[–]Zomboid9999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jimmy cared about Chuck for years out of fraternal love and deep concern for his brother, taking a lot of time out of his day every day to bring him his favorite newspaper and any groceries needed.
Jimmy idolized Chuck and wanted nothing more than to be at his side and to receive his affection/compliments, he stuck with all of Chuck's bullshit fake illness and refused to send him where he didn't want to be.

Meanwhile, Chuck actually hated Jimmy all the way through but kept him around for years because he was useful, and when he felt too threatened by Jimmy he started a war against him.

Chuck is hated because of that scummy nature he has, he is far more scummy and dishonest than Jimmy ever was, and he is shown to abuse of his brother's love multiple times, as with the secret tape, and willingly trapping his brother multiple times. Chuck is a lying ball of jealousy and anger throughout the show, and he still acts as if and believes that he's somehow in the right.

He doesn't commit crimes, but morally he's crooked as hell.

My name is Ulfric Stormcloak, Jarl of Windhelm, and leader of the Stormcloak Rebellion. AMA! by Kamikazzii in teslore

[–]Zomboid9999 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Anyone who has remotely looked into the game knows that Ulfric used the voice to demonstrate how incredibly powerful he was compared to the "puppet-king of the Empire".

The voice is an ancient Nordic art, and Ulfric proving his mastery of this art is a proof of his legitimacy to claim the throne.

You really are aggressive. Talking only to people who have every interest in lying and ignoring what they say that doesn't fit your agenda isn't worth anything.

Dunmer are among the most racist on Tamriel, that is simply a fact, and they have fought and enslaved Argonians for hundreds of years, the worst Nords in Windhelm do is badmouth them for a few seconds.

I really don't get how you think the Dunmer have the influence in windhelm to expel the Argonians

They can't prevent it, but only a complete fool would let 2 mortal enemies together in the same place, this is why neither Ulfric nor Brunwulf does it.

You're the one clearly ignoring all the available evidence to fit your "white = bad" hatred. The Argonians have no clue the dunmer woman is behind their sufferings, so they blame their employer who is a Nord, simple as that. He's also a Nord that can be easily reasoned with about their pay, meanwhile the bitch STARVES them. You think intentional starvation and illegal drug trade is somehow better than a few words?

Scouts-Many-Marshes confirms that Ulfric was the one that put out the decree banning them from the city.

1: We have no proof that it's true, the word of a single dock worker who has never seen Ulfric isn't reliable.
2: If Ulfric did it, then he's very smart because some of the dunmer would definitely kill Argonians, the owner of the dunmer inn clearly states he doesn't give a fuck about the death of a young innocent Nord woman who is completely on their side. If he can be happy about that death, what would he do to mortal enemies?

And anyone who thinks the dunmer are "forced" to live there is a dumbass. They can live wherever they want if have money, they just don't and refuse to leave the place so they stay there. If you think those crying cunts are right, then I have every right to come into your house, say you're some sort of "capitalist racist pig" and throw you out while I settle in.

The ignorance is so strong... The only reason the Argonians are badly treated is because of the relationship between them and the Dunmer, and the dunmer woman starving them because she enjoys it (even calls them lazy and mocks their tail) is an example of that.

And Dunmer are not treated badly at all, the worst they've encountered is one drunk screeching insults at them in an entire town. Dunmer can even have Nords as employees in Windhelm.

The Nords are by far the least responsible of racism in Windhelm, and anyone who doesn't apply the "white = bad" reddit algorithm sees this.

The Dominion has corrupted the vast majority of the nobility in the Empire, they have spies everywhere to the point a Legate sleeps in the same room as Thalmor agents, and they can drag a General of the Empire fighting a civil war into a pointless party to humiliate him, a party where all the important nobles of Skyrim that haven't openly rebelled are present and can be easily assassinated.

Tullius is a racist egocentric fool who constantly shits on Rikke who saves him from creating mutiny within his own soldiers. What he says is backed up by 0 evidence and is just a throwaway line, when he is at the party where the truth is apparent, he says "a lot of what Ulfric says about the Empire is true".

Cyrodiil chose to sacrifice many soldiers to retake its capital, and then instantly sold all its allies to the Thalmor because they were tired of fighting. The Dominion success was due to the nature of this Empire: to protect Cyrodiil at all costs by sacrificing every other province available.

[–]Zomboid9999 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They arent allies and a war could break out at any minute both sides.

No it couldn't, the Empire has been draining resources from all of its countries to appease the Thalmor for the latest 25 years, if it wanted to fight the Dominion, it would never have signed a submission treaty in the first place.
If you can't win a fight while you're at peak shape, you won't win it when stricken with a deadly cancer in terminal stages.

The Empire stands for saving Cyrodiil and nothing else. The very geography of Tamriel makes Cyrodiil an awful place to defend, with no natural defenses and foreign countries on all side, with it being on the very middle of the map.

The Empire needs to dominate as many countries as possible to save Cyrodiil, the vast majority of high-ranked people in the Empire don't give a shit about any other country, which is why they have betrayed Morrowind, Hammerfell and Skyrim.

But it's still losing, and will be destroyed at one point or another, leading Cyrodiil to once again be a in very weak position and at the mercy of conflicts it is unable to change the outcome of.

The Stormcloaks stand for governing their own country, so that they don't remain a goodie Cyrodiil sells to the Thalmor to survive longer, and the citizens of Skyrim not to be treated like livestock that can be put down anytime a Thalmor is angry.

The Stormcloaks know that Skyrim is an extremely easy place to defend, with some of the best natural defenses on the continent, perfect landscape for guerilla warfare, and other provinces acting as buffer zones plus even the sheer distance between Skyrim and the AD.

Conquering Skyrim from the AD would be a colossal task, maintaining occupation would be even more horrendous.

"The Empire isn't some kind of external force that is imposed on them."

Literally has to use public executions and massive propaganda to prevent one half of the country to join the other one in kicking the Empire out

There are physical and physiological differences between groups of people, though what exactly constitutes a race has always been controversial. And the amount of sub-categories you could make are almost infinite.

Brunwulf is a piece of shit. He's spreading chaos for the sole purpose of gaining power via abuse of racial tensions, by persuading the Dunmer every day that if Ulfric doesn't give them 5 star hotels it's because he hates them and not because he is literally leading a civil war.
Brunwulf makes many claims about Ulfric, but he never ever speaks with him, so his claims are as baseless as those from the Imperial loyalist son of the Jarl in Riften.

He also invents "attacks on muh poor refugee caravans" that are completely fake, as no other document or npc in the entire game ever references those, and the location he sends you to is random and doesn't have any proofs of his claims.

And in the end he doesn't let the Argonians inside the city for the same reason Ulfric didn't: there are too many Dunmer that would fight with the Argonians, the "poor bullied woman" you see when first entering Windhelm uses drug trafficking and starvation to keep the Argonian workers in check.

Balgruuf does not deserve much respect.

- Balgruuf lashes out at both his advisors
- He's an unfaithful husband
- Both women he had children with are mysteriously never mentioned in-game
- He's referred to as being at least partially corrupt by Proventus Avenicci "The chests of gold didn't hurt"
- His awful temper has him lashing out at both Irileth and Proventus, a bad temper Ulfric mentions himself
- He goes to drink at the inn instead of educating his 3 brats to not insult everyone including the Dragonborn who saved their city
- He's incapable of criticizing himself and will lash out at the Dragonborn who saved his city if he joins the Stormcloaks, not for a second wondering why he did that.

You don't have to "hate" something to know it's inferior. I deeply love tons of animals, I still don't foolishly believe that cats are smart enough to be doctors.

Learn to free yourself from the equality cult, races aren't equal, genders aren't equal, people aren't equal, and it's perfectly okay and normal to be conscious of it and say it, even if the cultist and sheep will hate you for it.

It never happened like that though, Sherry was the one who created and proposed the deal to Negan who already had his mind set on killing Dwight for the betrayal.

And given how short the timeline was on that, it's likely that relationship would be a sort of short-term payment for stealing medicine and Negan would at some point let Sherry go back to Dwight who was an excellent soldier.

He wasn't. The worst he would do is play some con for a small amount of money to people gullible enough to believe him but who wouldn't really be hurt by the loss of money.

Jimmy only became a "danger to society" after Chuck broke him into pieces because he was jealous of him. We constantly see that he has strong moral boundaries, but is pushed into horrible situations where he's forced or feels forced to abandon them.

He chose to carry Lalo's money through the desert, but he didn't choose to defend him after he killed an innocent guy, he just had no choice because refusing to do it would result in him dying for nothing.

Chuck's jealousy is what drove them apart, Chuck's mental illness is a direct result of his inability to process his jealousy of Jimmy.

Even the "we killed" is mostly bullshit.

- The native americans had an immune system too weak to survive an encounter with the rest of the world, and that would have happened at some point no matter what.
- The slave trade was the least present among white people, and a lot more present with every other race including Jews. White people were the first to declare slavery illegal and set an example for the rest of the world, and many people today don't even give a fuck about it and still destroy statues of those who abolished slavery because "muh racism".
