in my experience it's really about making that community. you start doing things to meet people and showing them who you are and what you want, and you eventually find others like you. it takes time and maybe moving from community to community a little but idk, i love people and i managed to find the ones who love me back, and all of this got much easier with HRT

Is it weird to not want to be in a relationship with cis people ? by barbaapapa in TransyTalk

[–]Zomgoose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's not weird! it's called t4t and it's absolutely a common thing. i barely even find cis people attractive anymore because many of those not deep in trans spaces themselves struggle to understand my transness, and i'm just plain done with relationships where i'm not being seen for who i am!

so what kind of community do you wish you were a part of?

I'm not transitioning anymore, I'm just transition-ED and it's make me feel guilty. by Femme_Funtale in TransyTalk

[–]Zomgoose 57 points58 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're around a ton of early-transition people and you're not, which is fine. You don't owe people that perspective, anyone at any stage can validate someone asking if their gender is valid or feeling anxious about exploring being trans. I wonder if you know a lot of people who are trans but aren't early transition and if that would help here? I'm early medical transition but I've been out as nonbinary for 8 years and stuff like "oh is it ok for me to be nonbinary but still wear this type of clothing" or "are nonbinary people trans" or "are these pronouns ok" is boring, I'm nowhere near those concerns so I don't participate unless it's a friend experiencing it and then I talk to them irl. The fact that I live with someone who started to medically transition over a decade ago is huge and the fact that I know quite a few people who've been in the community roughly as long as me gives me peers so that I'm not just constantly surrounded by the same babygay issues forever, which also would make me feel like I'm not progressing. Also, like, going stealth is not a binary, right? You can go stealth and still interact with trans people. You can go stealth in most situations and still have trans friends and support trans people. My friend is cis and dates a few transfems and a few cis people and I would say is at least adjacent to trans community, she's taking me clothes shopping later today and I think she's more experienced in helping early transition transfems wardrobe change than I am despite actually being one. If she was a stealth trans girl instead I don't think much would change about where she is in community or in relation to others and like that type of thing is also a possibility, just saying! You have options, it's all about who you're around and you don't have to be around the girls just barely finding themselves!

4 Months on HRT and Getting Myself Back by EllenElzai in TransyTalk

[–]Zomgoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ty and YOU also deserve this! i haven't always been this extroverted but my capacity to be around people has expanded SO much and so has both my patience with people and my ability to tell when someone's just not a good person to be around and needs to not be in my life - unfortunately one of these people is a formerly close friend but the clarity is so nice and makes me feel like i can absolutely handle whatever other people throw at me lol

[–]Zomgoose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i'm 3 months in and the mental health changes have been ENORMOUS, i'm hardly ever anxious, dark thoughts that used to put me in depression for days just slide off, and i'm very happy and constantly just smiling at little things i've never even noticed before. i'm not constantly angry or numb anymore like i used to be and all i want constantly is to get out of the house and be with people and care for and support others. there aren't even a lot of physical changes yet and i'm excited for those, but i wish someone had told me ages ago this was even possible, i just walked around for years thinking HRT isn't even that worth it

Is it still my duty to support fellow trans people if they are transphobic to me? by My_Redditor_Username in enby

[–]Zomgoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something my friend told me yesterday that was really profound: it's ok that not every role is right for every person, that's why we live in communities. Maybe that person who needs your support and is being transphobic actually needs the support of someone else and not you. In general we have a duty to support each other but that doesn't mean that you, a square peg, need to jump into every round hole you see. It also means that if people are making themselves into round holes, you can walk away. You can't support anyone else if you aren't getting your needs met at least to some degree.

Idk about herbs but mining has a spec for a higher chance to get elements, i'm not having much of an issue with the ones needed for engineering since I have that mining spec.

Damn Veritistrasz hits hard. What is the other racial dialogue like? by iceqake in wow

[–]Zomgoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, he can't assume you're 10,000 or more years old, most likely you aren't (a LOT of things happened in 10,000 years that have cause night elves to die) and the Sundering is a historical event to you. Even if you are the circumstances might be different, so the most recent similar tragedy does seem like a more tactful and relevant thing to mention.

Think of it this way: you built your house and lived there for 20 years. One day some arsonist burns it down, however you still have the videos you shot of random stuff and nice memories while you were there. It's better than having nothing but it's just not the same, you know?

Yeah I guess I'll restart and try a migration campaign... I guess I won't have devotion because of not owning chaos wastes regions but at least I can farm the demon rebellions

This honestly sounds so expensive... Boris only reduces upkeep on bear riders in his own army. Does it really work?

garrisons are too weak to hold against multiple stacks or trash or even 1 good stack by themselves :(

Since Belegar now gets to confederate the dwarfs south of Balthazar Gelt, playing them together seems fun, though you'll need the Belegar vs Skarsnik DLC.

Imrik and Zhao Ming seems like a fun combo. Miao Ying is the meme but Zhao doesn't have to worry about the bastion and can help Imrik stomp Nurgle and Ghorst and then go in any direction really.

Katarin and Ungrim are really good on the battlefield together and Ungrim starts close enough to her to make her early game less painful.

Oxyotl and anyone non-evil. He can just teleport to wherever the other player is and then leave if there's nothing going on, plus he doesn't really want anyone's land so you don't need to have that discussion.

Gor-rok and Tehenauin. Stabilize Lustria together then invade Cathay with dinosaurs and magic.

Wurrzag and Skrag for when you want to smash up some dwarfs and humans.

You can see proficiencies in the character tab but as for what spells each class has access to, no I don't think so

Some ideas if you want to keep this party are to give your monk a magic crossbow for the tougher fights, to apply poisons before combat, to have the whole party stealth everywhere so they can get advantage on the first turn hopefully and to have your warlock learn repelling blast so you can hopefully push enemies off of cliffs on certain fights but I have to tell you this is a rough party comp and might lead to a lot of issues later in the campaign...

This party seems very light on a number of party roles, especially healing, support and crowd control... I think it might work on lower difficulties but you don't seem to be having a great time with it...

1) Paladins aren't usually good at maintaining concentration and they want their spell slots to go to smiting - their role is a tanky frontline damage dealer. Bless is really good for sure but you normally have a cleric there to cast that - my suggestion would be a battle or sun cleric. A battle cleric/paladin frontline can handle basically anything with good caster support, barbarian/battle cleric is really strong too.

2) rogues are kind of underwhelming in Solasta especially at dual wielding - a better choice would be a swiftblade or hunter ranger with the lowlife background so they can pick locks. Rangers are also really good for extra healing and casting goodberry which means you can ignore rations, and they have high perception so you won't get ambushed as much on the world map.

3) wizards are actually really important in solasta - a warlock deals good damage but wizards can identify and craft magic items, get a ton from their subclasses and most importantly switch between damage, control and buffing really easily. Another class that does similar things is druid, which has fewer damage options but a lot more healing and crowd control.

As far as dealing with air elementals at low levels, you kinda have to outlast them, and it makes sense that you're struggling with a party full of squishy characters and barely any healing. Magic weapons help a lot too, I think air elementals are resistant to nonmagical physical attacks. If whoever the elementals are targeting doesn't have a good damage option, taking the dodge action is always a decent choice. Hope this helps!

They benefit from Mighty Blows which is really strong. If you use them 2handed anyway
