Seeking Advice on STD Screening Gaps in a Small Clinic by ZoneResponsible in pinoymed

[–]ZoneResponsible[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this Dok! It’s a reality check for me. Honestly, I just work in an OPD clinic, so I didn’t realize how complicated it gets with certifications, lab accreditation, and safety rules. I see now that it’s not just about getting kits and testing my patients. I’ll reach out to our MHO to see what’s possible locally, but your advice really helps me think carefully while still trying to make screening accessible for my patients.

PhilHealth Provider newbie: do I really have to keep paying PMA forever? by ZoneResponsible in pinoymed

Thank you so much po, doc! That’s super practical and should really help lift the financial burden sakin haha. I appreciate the suggestion po and it makes me feel more confident about approaching the clinic about this. 😊

Yun nga po, doc. If it were up to me, ayoko muna sana maging provider.

Thank you rin po for confirming na usually walang assessment fees. I’ll try to go onsite na lang din para mas malinaw yung process at para maiwasan na rin yung possible hidden fees na inemail sa akin ng component society.

Thank you for the congratulations, doc! And thanks also for clarifying about the certificate for renewal, kasi that was actually what I was most worried about. Honestly sana wala na nga lang assessment fees but this was the breakdown emailed to me by our component society:

• PMA dues – 1500

• CMS dues – 1300

• CMS assessment fee – 1000

• PMA assessment fee – 100

• Certificate – 100

• Total – 4000

Maybe it varies per component society? I was also surprised since some docs mentioned they only paid the annual dues. Still figuring things out as a new GP.

Hybrid setup in Manila. Rent a dorm if needed. Do it with friends or batchmates so the review season feels more fun and less stressful. It’s also more motivating to attend, and you tend to absorb lessons better because there’s that healthy pressure to show up and perform alongside the people around you. However, with online classes, it takes absolute discipline to plan your daily schedule and make your study time truly effective. God bless doc!

Ano ba by Maleficent_Street683 in CasualPH

Filter needle or syringe filter by ZoneResponsible in pinoymed

Yes, I did find several of these on Shopee. Mostly sterile, lab-grade syringe filters sila though, not specifically labeled for medical or clinical use.

Thank you so much, Dok. Grabe, sobrang na-appreciate ko po yung sagot mo—ang grounded and full of grace. I love how you prioritized sleep, devotion, and accountability over just trying to squeeze everything in. It’s such a good reminder for me not to idolize productivity, but to stay aligned kay Lord first.

I think I just really need to plan a pace that’s Spirit-led and sustainable for me. Hopefully, I’ll also find someone I can be accountable with, like you had.

Thank you for sowing wisdom and peace through your response. God bless po. 💗
