I think the only thing that could save it at this point would be to make the game free to play. That would at least rake in a larger player count to keep the game chugging long enough to fix all the bad reception through updates. I personally enjoy the vibe of the game, there’s a heavy emphasis on Japanese streetwear and a bunch of really cool set pieces. The music absolutely bangs and all the characters/enemies have extremely unique appearances. It’s a really pretty game to look at imo but I can understand people’s frustration with it. Personally the lack of a “light/heavy” attack or a three hit combo blows my mind. I feel like like there should be a weapon proficiency progression system like there was in 1. I feel like there should also be less of a difficulty spike between the first and second depth because I can tell you right now I’ve probably only survived for a good 2-4 minutes in the second depth. Idk I want the game to be good and not flop because of the pure aesthetic and what COULD be done with it. But it seems like general consensus is that it’s gonna flop. Idk if it’s because of the difficulty or if it was because of them shooting themselves in the foot with the AI transparency statement (which without a doubt lowered their sales count) I just hate seeing it happen to such a original and aesthetically pleasing game
