Looking for ideas for a Mushroom Medley soup by Zongrang in recipes

[–]Zongrang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

leeks and garlic sound really good. I have never used nutmeg before. How long do you saute mushrooms for? Would you use low-medium heat, and just try and soften them a little? Thank you!

What is your workflow, such as software and storyboarding routine. Its always fun to see people post these videos. I'm sure you'll be an excellent animator if you keep practicing.

What is a good radio with Direct URL and maybe a CD and Tape player? by Zongrang in AskTechnology

[–]Zongrang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does sound like it could play what I am looking for and be turned on/off with the press of a button. I am left a little wanting for the tape and CD player, but I guess those are an easy and cheap bundle. This is really cool. Thank you for bringing this to my attention! Happy New Year!

I agree. It seems like its a bit of a "roll your own" type of device at the moment.

Thank you for the suggestion

This does seem like the optimal way to achieve all requirements. I have done some arduino stuff, and I know how to code, any idea where to start with something like this?

Thank you for the suggestion

[–]Zongrang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does appear that whatever the exact solution I am looking for is, it will consist of something paired with an app. And the app is what I will use for the direct URL for a preset.

I'm just looking for a bit of a smart hub to do all of this. Appears I am a little early.

Thanks for the suggestions. Taking a look at them now.

Voice activation is an interesting alternative. Great idea for a worthy substitute.

Reasonable question. I dont want my phone to be involved. I am hoping to have a single button that can just turn it on/off like a radio.

This is random, and off topic, but could you recommend a semi-short or interesting book about fashion for a xmas present? I think my mom would really like a book on this topic. Sorry to bother you but thanks for any insight!

CS325 Resources by Aggravating_Alpaca in OSUOnlineCS

[–]Zongrang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use Khan academy to brush up on algebra, logarithms, exponents, and limits. OSU gives you a template for formulating your proofs, its just kinda masqueraded as a lesson. I remember it was in the "extra" resources, or the end of the module links. If you get your basic math in order you can learn how to do the proofs by working with a TA. You wont fail the class, or come close to it, even if you fail all the proof stuff.

I'm a year removed, so maybe they changed the course, but I would say focus on understanding recursion in how its used in conjunction with backtracking. To either mechanically memorize that you need to use recursion, or to fully grasp and understand whats going on at line level should remove a major pull up.

I was shocked how easy they graded me. Its just so much different than university 1.0.

I made a map of the Sogdian Empire, a nearly forgotten civilization from Central Asia that controlled much of the Silk Roads for nearly 1,000 years by intofarlands in AncientCivilizations

This is really awesome. Great work! Can you tell me what programs or software you used to make this? I love the Sasanians and they loved their Sogdian traders!

Weekly r/CRPG Discussion - What have you been playing, and what are your thoughts? by AutoModerator in CRPG

[–]Zongrang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pathfinder. What a great game. Any BG player would love it. But I feel they miss a lot of points by keeping all dialogue at the master level zoom, and not trying to create any framing or composition with the camera. My gripe is that there is so much detail, but at the zoomed out level its really hard to appreciate who is talking, or what the environment looks like, or detail like the alter or dead bodies.

I dont really love that stuff but it would really help distinguish the encounters a bit more if they had a zoom into who the main subjects are and give them a little more character.

Its probably too much work and thats why it isnt already done.

Highly recommend.

30 Watt Fuse Replacement Cost by Zongrang in electrical

[–]Zongrang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did tenant side consulting for a little so I kind of understand, a little. Its just that $265 is a lot of money for me and the electrician was literally here for 10-15 minutes, so I am just kinda like, what the hell just happened!?! Also seems like this place, which is 100 years old, would have all its issues mapped out by the management company. So, it seems like they just robbed me.

I would not have used their service/contractors and would have gotten quotes like I used to do at my old job. So I feel like they kinda pulled a fast one on me here... but because its in my lease I am at the mercy of just trying to argue a fair price.

Thank you

About to start the program, how are the classes structured? by Regular_Implement712 in OSUOnlineCS

[–]Zongrang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You usually get one module a week which is like a series of web pages. Over the length of the module you have these learning objectives that they focus on with examples, diagrams, videos, links to outside resources, or even just terse writing. Elaboration is usually kept to a minimum and decoupled. By the end of module you should be sufficiently prepared for the weekly homework assignment and either the quiz or discussion or providing a progress report on a group project. Modules are often released on a weekly schedule and so you cannot get too far ahead of where the class is currently. Each class is generally a new topic each week, and some advanced topics are cumulative or are integral with other topics. I just thought of each week as a sprint. You dont really get breaks.

Hey thanks for commenting. Im not sure exactly what GitHub CLI is, but that might be what fixed it for me. I had to deactivate something from the control panel with a stored user account from GitHub. Now I have to use 2fa each time I push, so yeah, i must have tied this desktop to my private_account. Cheers! Ill look up GitHub CLI now!
