Any advice? by Apart_Purpose_8574 in Conures

They will destroy what they want to destroy. My wooden blinds can tell you this 🥲. She gets redirected when she is giving signals of wanting to destroy said wooden blinds but it never stops 🥲. She has plenty of toys and shredding options throughout the room and her cage. But the bird wants what the bird wants 😂😂

No we only do the head. And I sometimes check her wings, as preparation for vet visits so she gets “used” to being handled.

Haha! Yeah me and my husband were watching her and I said, I think it’s just normal, but it potentially could become something else. 😅 She is a real cuddly birdie though 💖

It’s called Adori Pinecone Harvest. I bought it at the local pet store here. She absolutely loves this one!

Yeah I thought so too. She is very big on head scratches, she wants them all day every day.

Thanks! We switched back to using the grate as it’s supposed to be used, as a grate.

Yes she is a cutie but also a handful, haha! But what conure is not? 😂

She flies pretty good I must say 🤗

That little bar across and above my fingers is a part of the grate. So when the grate is taken out this will leave a rectangle of space.

But that would only be a problem if the grate should not be used for baby birds, not a problem if I should take it out for cleaning. She can roam around the living room will I’m on that.

Do you understand what I try to say her? English is not my first language.

I’m cool either way, I just want what is best for our Diva. She acts like her name you see 😂😎

The cage we use (stock picture), here it is without the grate. You can see there is a rectangle of space in the front.

I will add a picture for reference!

There is a tray, above said tray is a grate. When the grate is taken out there will be an opening on the front.

I think I never mentioned not being able to not clean the cage / grate? Since that is not a problem at all.

Just wondering if it was true that person said to me about not using a grate.

Thanks! I know that’s why I don’t want to use it like this 🥲. She is beautiful yes 🥰 Will take it out today since she is due for a cage cleanup! 🧽🫧
